ACE Solar

ACE Solar is a North Andover solar contractor, and a recent Google customer's complaint was about a fee: when that customer sold their property, the company charged $1500 to transfer ownership of the solar panels to the buyers. Its own site presents it as specialising in commercial, government and utility-scale solar construction and energy storage, with residential work limited to service and maintenance of existing systems. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 182429 in the name of ACE Residential Solar LLC, is active on the state registry. A 2024 customer said sales rep Sam delivered a proposal in 2 days, the panels went in 10 weeks after the order, and Shane and his installation team installed the 4 array system in 1 1/2 days. A 2023 customer said the install crew finished in less than a day and one of the electricians came inside to vacuum attic insulation that fell during the install; that same customer said a later failure of half the panels took two site visits and 6 weeks to fix, with loose cabling re-secured. A 2024 customer said Ian's estimate came in thousands of dollars below one of the other main competitors. A 2024 customer with a home on the Cape said Ace coordinated the roof replacement and electrical work the job needed, and took responsibility for an issue and rectified it. A 2025 customer said storm water leaked through the roof below the panels; Ace responded quickly and the issue was resolved, but a $450 work order became a $600 charge for diagnostic work. A 2025 customer said the technicians fixed a panel issue but no one returned calls about a bill, then updated the review to say a call back with apologies had come. A 2023 customer said their battery system failed during power outages and that an onsite review found substandard wiring, misconfigured batteries and control wires that had not been connected. A 2022 customer said the inverter was down for about 45 days without error messages and Ace Solar offered no support.
