ACS WOOD FLOORS LLC

ACS Wood Floors is a Farmington hardwood refinishing and installation company whose reviews split hard. Its Google page shows 4.5 stars from 106 ratings, and Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.7 from 81, but 2026 has brought a run of one-star accounts alongside the praise. The company says it has been in business 16 years and lists a service area from Farmington and West Hartford to Glastonbury, Wethersfield and Windsor. The good jobs are described in detail. In a January 2026 Google review, the buyers of a 71-year-old home said Adriano came out on a Saturday evening to price the oak floors, and his crew sanded four rooms, the closets and a long hallway, then put down three coats of polyurethane. A July 2026 customer said Adrian was there an hour after their Monday closing and finished by Friday. A March 2025 reviewer came back five years after an oak floor with walnut trim to have the same oak and walnut design laid in a bedroom and hallway. Other customers describe stain samples put down before choosing a color (2024) and a new floor color matched to existing hardwood (January 2026). The complaints are just as specific. An October 2026 Angi reviewer said a 2,500 square foot job brought excuse after excuse, repeated demands for more money, and floors left ruined when the customer would not pay extra. A September 2026 Google reviewer said the estimator promised that moving the room's contents was part of the estimate, the company then tried to back out, and a deposit refund request was met with advice to dispute it with a credit card. An April 2026 Angi review cited sloppy work, a filler job, damaged property and constant excuses from Adriano. In March 2026 and November 2025, Google reviewers described a quote that never came after measuring, and a crew that arrived months later without the right measurements and could not finish. A November 2024 review cited short leftover boards and ripple lines from uneven stain, and a 2020 Angi customer said a floor damaged while moving appliances was redone for an extra $600, leaving a dented fridge and unanswered texts. ACS Wood Floors LLC holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0641233.
