A 2026 Google customer said they had been using Rene & Heidi for years, whether paying with heating assistance or cash, and that after a call the day after Christmas, he was there in hours. A 2024 customer thanked Renee for prompt, friendly service and wrote that they slept better not having to think about filling the woodstove in the middle of the night. In 2022, a customer thanked Heidi and Rene for a fill-up. In a 2022 review, the person running a non-profit dog rescue said heat for the kennels was a priority, that the rescue was on a regular schedule, and that when running low sooner, a quick phone call got the next available time. That 2022 reviewer also called Rene and Heidi beyond fair with their prices.
I have been using Rene & Heidi for years. Whether I have heating asst or cash. I even had to call the day after Christmas 🫣 he was here in hours.

Running a non-profit dog rescue has its challenges, add to that the brutal Maine winters, heat is 100% a priority for the kennels. Rene and Heidi go above and beyond, not just to be friendly, reliable, honest, trustworthy and beyond fair with their prices, but helpful and the best part, they are huge animal lovers. They have the rescue on a regular schedule, but if I am running low sooner, a quick phone call and they schedule me the next available time. The dogs love it when Rene comes as they get lots of attention and fuss. It is important that people support the small business's, keeping money in the local community and appreciating those that work hard in all weather all throughout the year.
