Aegis Renewable Energy describes itself as a Vermont-based solar installer for commercial, design-build energy projects throughout New England and beyond, covering the development, installation and sale of commercial and community-scale solar systems. The company says it has been in business for 15 years. In a 2023 Reddit post in r/burlington, a commenter said they bought 35 panels in a farm array from a company called Aegis, called it the best ever, and said they hadn't had an electric bill since 2017. On its BBB profile, the company describes community-scale renewable energy work for farms, businesses, non-profits and municipalities, including wind, solar and anaerobic digesters. A vermontbiz.com profile names Nils Behn as the company's CEO and President, and a Solar Power World article describes a Vermont town finding its path to a solar goal with help from Aegis. Its BBB grade is A+.
