A F MacIsaac works one town, and works it hard. Every one of the 166 permits on file is in Milton — 25 Cary Avenue, 61 Walnut Street, 290 Lyman Road, Brush Hill Road, Glendale Road — with a typical job around $39,300 and several far larger. That kind of concentration is unusual and tells you something: this is the contractor Milton homeowners hand off to each other. The work splits cleanly in two. Bathrooms and kitchens gutted and rebuilt — at least seven separate second-floor bathroom rehabs across the record, a $318,300 kitchen, dining room and master suite gut on Walnut Street in 2021, a $55,000 kitchen on Brush Hill Road. And the exterior: stripping the siding and trim off an entire house on Glendale Road in 2022 and replacing it with cedar shingles and Azek trim for $69,500; re-siding a Cary Avenue house in clapboard while swapping 30 windows for $261,000; 19 replacement windows and a new front door on Stanton Road; eight Andersen units on Lyman Road. He also built a house from the foundation up on Sias Lane in 2022, a $720,000 job filed final. The written record is thin and old. Two customers have written about him, both in 2016 and 2017. In a September 2016 review a homeowner described a major kitchen renovation and kept returning to how the crew worked: a dust barrier sealing the kitchen off from the rest of the house, cleanup every single day, and a day they worked straight through a storm to keep on schedule; they also noted the crew putting up a beam by hand. In December 2017 another customer wrote that he came in mid-range on price against several quotes, was on site or reachable throughout, and was meticulous on detail. Both are glowing — and both are nearly a decade old. Read the BuildZoom rating with that in mind: its "5 out of 5 from 4 reviews" counts the same kitchen review three times, under two different dates. Before calling, ask about the registration. BuildZoom lists Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 143149 as active with an issue date of 21 June 2026, but that is BuildZoom's own check rather than a state confirmation, so ask for the number and verify it with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. The BuildZoom score of 112 is calculated from permits and licence status, not from customers. Who this suits: a Milton homeowner with a bathroom, kitchen, siding or window job who wants someone with a deep local permit trail and is happy to ask for recent references, since the written accounts stop in 2017.

I can say nothing but great things about A F MacIsaac. His work is amazing! We got several quotes and he was in the middle price wise. Well worth it. He was on the job or available at all times and meticulous about every detail of the project. I highly recommend him and plan on using him for our next project.

I worked with AF Maclsaac Contracting to do a major renovation of our kitchen. This contactor was great! And the same can be said about the quality of their work! They cleaned up everyday. They made a separation between the kitchen and the other parts of the house to maintain cleanliness. The workers of AF Maclsaac Contracting were so dedicated that they even worked thoughout the storm during the project. They were at our home on a daily basis working on our kitchen to make sure that everything was on track. I appreciate that they were very professional in what they were doing. The attention to detail was exceptional. They even had to put up a beam which required a lot of heavy lifting and I know for a fact that that was not an easy task. The overall job was well done.
