American Climbers carries 4.9 stars from 433 Google ratings. The company calls itself a MetroWest tree-care business and says it has been at it for 30 years, and its BBB page shows an A+ grade and accreditation. Big removals are the work on display. A recent customer had 12 trees removed and wrote that all of them required a crane to get them out. A recent customer said a massive maple was expected to be climbed, but once the crew arrived they determined a crane would be safer, and the removal, cleanup and major work wrapped up just before 2 PM. A recent customer who hired the company to remove two large oaks said it took care to protect gardens under the trees. A recent customer said Mike's crew trimmed two trees at their house in Sudbury and the price seemed right for the work required. A 2026 customer wrote that when a massive tree crashed through their roof in a mid-December rain storm, American Climbers were at the house within three hours and had the tree lifted and removed within five. A 2025 customer who arranged tree work for a school district in Hopkinton said Rich the owner walked the area of concern with them. A recent customer who hired the company to prune 5 trees, and who said they had worked as an arborist, wrote that the work was done from lifts and a bucket truck without a pole saw, and that many dead branches were left.
I hired this company to prune 5 trees. They did all the work from lifts and a bucket truck. They never used a pole saw, just cut what they could reach with a chainsaw. Many dead branches were left and too many suckers as they didn't cut above the first crotch. I don't know if the industry has changed that much, but I'm a graduate from Stockbridge and worked as an Arborist for many years. Your post about cheep works rings true but you went' cheep or good.
We had Mike's crew from American Climbers trim two trees at our house in Sudbury. They were very easy to work with, did a good job, and the price seemed right for the work required. I'd recommend them.
Amazing and professional team that arrived with all the trucks, tools and hardware to remove a huge oak hanging precariously over my home. They showed up on time, took care of protecting my driveway and property and dismembered and lifted that tree up and over the house like nobodies business! Also the team did a great job pruning several large branches circling my yard which now has a lot more sunlight. Highly recommend!
When it came time to get some trees removed from my mom's property, American Climbers was my only call. I was not surprised that they were accommodating and diligent professionals. I had known the owner long before he became a tree guy. Even then he was entrepreneurial and hardworking. I had expected nothing less but exceptional service and neither should anyone else. It was great to see the business he had built over the past 30 years. Businesses don't grow and last 30 years unless they are doing something right. It was fun to see them make easy work out of a tough job. Thank you, American Climbers! Mom thanks you, too!
American Climbers provided exceptional service at a great value. Very professional, prompt, excellent communication, and most of all got the job done. Would hire again and highly recommend
