American Environmental Inc is a Holyoke abatement company. A 2016 businesswest.com story described it as a minority-owned Holyoke business which did a significant amount of abatement and some demolition. A 2023 page on hps.holyoke.ma.us says the Holyoke-based company submitted the lowest of five bids to the City of Holyoke for abatement, demolition, and filling and leveling work at the William R. Peck Middle School site. A 2025 release on mass.gov says the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) fined American Environmental, Inc. of Holyoke $19,140 for asbestos violations that occurred during asbestos abatement activities at the former Eastfield Mall in Springfield. A 2021 reviewer said the company did some asbestos abatement for them in 2017, and that the work was professionally done and the price was reasonable. A 2017 reviewer called the company professional and said it gets the job done very quick. A 2017 reviewer said that after a consultation at their house, they called twice for an estimate, were told both times it would be done right away, and never heard back. A 2026 reviewer wrote that for roughly two weeks the company had been sending tractor trailers down a residential road marked no thru trucks in northwest Connecticut, rolling stop signs, and said they were not sure where its current project was.
