American Fences

Paul was great, he's helpful, experienced, follows through and professional. His crew works hard, through the recent hot summer days. This is the second fence he installed for us, the other was about 8 years ago. He just installed two new fences to close off our yard for the dogs. Thanks Paul and the crew!

I copied this email from someone left in the review 11 years ago. This company has no changes. Still doing the same terrible job. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use this company. I would give them Zero star if it has this option...... "The owner is prompt to show up and give you an estimate. And very prompt to cash your deposit...this is where the promptness ends! They did a HORRIBLE job left my yard an absolute mess. Once they actually show up (two weeks after they said they would) they come and go as they please. The owner never returns phone calls or emails once he cashes the deposit. Paul (the owner) is rude and condescending to work with. He is all smiles when he comes for the estimates but once he gets your deposit he is ghost!!The workmanship is appalling and the over all job is terrible. No posts for the gate, leaning fence, rocks dug up and left in yard. Save yourself the headache and court trips and use a better company. I now have to hire ANOTHER fence company to complete the job. I'm guessing the positive reviews on here are probably from the company itself and not from actual customers" ....In comparison to this customer, they did complete the job. However, several issues arose within 2 years after each storm. Paul the owner came to assess the damage and assured us that they would fix it as they had provided a two year warranty. Unfortunately, despite his promises, he never followed through. As a result, we had to hire another fence company to redo all the posts, which has led to double the labor costs. It's been quite a mess.

I wanted to give American Fence Company in Quincy 4 stars because of the service I received from the owner, Paul McCarthy and his assistant, Gretchen. Paul gave me a tremendously fair price for repairing a section of my fence that was damaged by a neighbor's snow blower. First of all, not a lot of fencing companies even want to look at a smaller repair job, but Paul did. He gave me a fair estimate for materials and timeline. We had a small issue arise and he squared it away immediately and we ended up with a great quality job and couldn't be happier with the end result! I would recommend Paul/American Fence to anyone who is looking for a fair price and quality result.
