A 2024 customer wrote that their water stopped working late on a Friday afternoon, their plumber said it was an electrical problem, and of the five electricians they left messages for, only Mike from American Veteran Electrical Services called back. That customer said there was no electricity from the breaker to their pump, that Mike came down that evening and said he could temporarily fix it on Saturday so they could have water, and that he kept his word. A 2024 customer described a garage job: the line from the house to the garage was not in conduit, and the circuit tripped when the ground froze. That customer said Mike planned a new sub-panel, outlets and lights in the garage, a new conduit-encased line from the house to the garage, and cleanup of some legacy electrical issues, and called his rates very reasonable. A 2025 customer wrote that Mike followed through on every aspect of their generator install. A 2024 customer said Mike explained and showed what needed to be done and why, and told them up front when something might cost more. Maine licenses electricians as individuals. Late Friday afternoon our water stopped working and our plumber told us it was an electrical problem . There was no electricity from the breaker to our pump! I called and left messages for five electricians and only one called me back . It was Mike from American Veteran Electricity! He came down that evening and said he could temporarily fix it on Saturday so we could have water ! He kept his word and I can't thank him enough! I highly recommend Mike!
Mike has done a wonderful awesome work at our house several times . He is very prompt professional and friendly person. He explains and shows you what will need to be done and why it needs to be done . He does it the right way not the wrong way. He is always there to help and answer questions whether in person or even a phone call that may require a follow up visit . His pricing for his work is well worth it . Mike doesn’t take the easy cheap way out . Somethings may cost a little more but Mike will tell you up front before doing the work. He will also tell you why it may cost more verses a cheaper way out . Mike does provided A+ work and his work shows. Mike also a Veteran like myself he takes care of us vets . I would highly recommend Mike and we will continue to use Mike . Thank you Mike .

"Outstanding!" is the only word I can think of when it comes to AVES. The electrical line running from our house to our garage wasn't in conduit. When the weather turned cold and the ground froze, the circuit would trip, rendering our garage door openers dead. Plus, my wife wanted outlets for her pottery kilns installed in the garage. We needed an electrician. Thankfully, we got a GREAT one. Mike got back to us immediately. A few days later he came over, looked at the situation, and quickly had a plan to get things going: a new sub-panel, outlets, and lights in the garage; a new conduit-encased line from the house to the garage; and cleaning up some legacy electrical issues. In no time we had our estimates, gave Mike the down payment, and the work started. Mike worked around our schedule, was friendly, knowledgeable, and above all, professional. His rates were very reasonable, and the end result was exactly what we wanted. The garage is powered once again, with extra lights and enough power to run those pottery kilns. Mike jokingly said "I'm your electrician for life now!" But we're pretty convinced that's really the case! If you're looking for your "forever electrician" definitely give Mike a call. You'll get quality service at a great price by a real pro.
