AMR Landscape Associates - Boston

Hand AMR a cracked asphalt driveway and you may get back a paver stone one, plus a patio and an outdoor entertainment area — that is what a May 2021 Houzz reviewer described, naming owner Ari Ronner. Most of this Brookline company's work has that shape: the whole outside of a house taken apart and put back together. Its site calls it a Boston-area landscaping, hardscaping and masonry contractor covering Suffolk, Norfolk and Middlesex counties. The hardscape jobs stack up. A June 2023 Google reviewer listed a new paver driveway, a stone backyard patio, plantings and a new backyard fence. A January 2022 Houzz reviewer in Needham came away with a stone patio, a front walkway and a yard; another that same month had a patio and turf laid in a backyard they called a useless pile of dirt before, and play space for their four young children after. In a June 2019 Angi review, a homeowner had the driveway updated, the front steps replaced with bluestone ones, raised beds installed with drainage and three planting areas redone. Fourteen of the twenty-two reviews name Ari, and what they name him for is being there. A February 2022 Google reviewer said he was on site for the important parts of the job and reachable by phone; another that month said he came on site often and made changes when she wanted something moved. An August 2024 reviewer trying to replace a fence that was falling over said he was quick to respond to the quote request, while other companies contacted — including the fence's original installer — did not respond at all. In a May 2025 r/newtonma thread, a commenter said they had used AMR more than once and had a great experience with the company. The planting side shows up too. A January 2022 customer wrote that AMR had done their landscaping for the past five years, naming spring cleanups, winter preparations and weekly maintenance. A June 2023 reviewer listed plantings, hedging, trim, mulch, sod and some mason work on one property, and an April 2022 Houzz reviewer credited an urban garden done with attention to what they wanted. One thing to pin down: the company's own site says it was founded in 2019 and puts itself at five years in business, while the Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles each list ten years of experience — and the written reviews start in 2018. For a full outdoor rebuild in Brookline, Newton, Needham or the Boston neighborhoods the company lists as its area, this is a straightforward call; its Houzz profile carries four Best of Houzz awards. Get the material selections — pavers, stone, plant list — written into the estimate before work starts, and if the length of the track record matters to you, ask which founding date is right.
