Andover Painting LLC

Previous painters botched a bedroom ceiling, seams and all. The homeowners brought in Andover Painting to redo it, and their April 2025 review says it came out better than they had hoped. Andover Painting is a residential painter in Andover doing interior and exterior work plus house washing, run by Cory Bishop. The company says it has over 20 years of experience behind it, and the copyright notices on its site date from 2001. Google shows a 5-star average across 69 ratings, with a second 5.0 across 58 ratings on Thumbtack. Much of what customers describe happens before a brush touches the wall. A May 2023 reviewer got a quote with photos of the work planned and the paints to be used on each surface. In a June 2024 review, the estimates came back reasonable enough that the homeowners didn't consider anyone else. A February 2026 customer had cost and scope explained up front, then three bedrooms, a home theater and a finished basement painted. The crew is small and the names repeat. Darcio turns up in reviews from 2023 through February 2026 — kitchen trim and walls he painted himself in an April 2023 review, a week-long job in August 2024 — and Yuri in reviews from December 2025 into 2026, one crediting him with moving the furniture and cleaning up after. Tidiness comes up as often: a June 2024 customer wrote they hardly knew anyone had been at the house, and on a July 2025 exterior job the crew stayed quiet and cleaned the area at the end of each day. They do more than paint, though the range shows up mostly in older reviews. A 2022 customer describes roof cleaning and coating, power washing, repair carpentry, and exterior and deck painting on one project; a May 2024 reviewer had a patio pressure washed and moss scrubbed off; a January 2026 one says they have used the company for years for annual gutter cleaning. An April 2025 downstairs refresh took in new paint and trim plus a drop ceiling converted into a real ceiling with recessed lighting. Two things to settle on the call. The site names Andover as the service area, while a 2022 review describes a new home in North Andover, so confirm they come to you. And since the non-painting work is described mostly in older reviews, name what you want — roof wash, gutters, carpentry — and ask whether it is still on the list. For interior rooms, cabinets and trim, or an exterior repaint where the prep is the whole job, this is a straightforward hire; ask for the scope and the paint products spelled out in the written quote the way earlier customers got them.
