Applied Solar Technologies

Applied Solar Technologies has been in the solar business out of Hopkinton, New Hampshire since 2009 — 17 years, according to its Better Business Bureau profile — run by Rick MacMillan. In a September 2017 segment on ycnnow, MacMillan went through the realistic pros and the potential cons for a homeowner weighing whether to go green and invest in a solar power system for their house. The Better Business Bureau lists the company under solar energy contractors. For a residential solar system from a long-running local outfit rather than a national sales operation, this is a reasonable call. Ask for the addresses of systems it has installed nearby and what those owners see for production, who holds the electrical licence for the tie-in, and exactly what the panel and workmanship warranties cover.
