Water entering a garage or basement is a specific complaint in customer accounts of Atlantic Asphalt Paving. In a June 2026 Angi review, a customer says rainwater entered their garage and caused damage, that the company disappeared after final payment, and that they obtained a judgment against it. Those are the customer’s allegations. Based in Derry, Atlantic describes itself as a family-owned southern New Hampshire paving business with more than 30 years of experience. It advertises residential driveways, walkways, commercial parking lots and asphalt repair, with a service area including Derry, Manchester, Londonderry, Hudson, Alton and Wolfeboro. Google reports a 4.5-star average from 56 ratings, while BBB lists an A+ grade and accreditation since April 2023. Recent positive accounts describe driveway resurfacing and responsive communication. A July 2026 Google reviewer praises Rob and Betsy’s communication before and during installation, the price and the resurfacing, saying the crew also helped prevent future driveway flooding related to the town’s road layout. In another recent review, a customer says Rob and his crew removed a large rock emerging through the pavement, resurfaced the driveway and widened its end to preserve the entrance. The customer credits Rob with answering questions and keeping them informed about arrival so they could coordinate vehicle access. An April 2026 Angi reviewer says Rob responded promptly, visited to quote the work and arranged the job within a week at the customer’s request; the crew completed it in about a day. Older complaints concern both installation and follow-up. An October 2024 Google reviewer alleged insufficient stone and no subgrade under a driveway for a new home build, deterioration after five months, water pooling and a pitch that sent water into the basement. The customer said replacing the entire driveway cost $26,000 out of pocket. A January 2025 reviewer described cracking, standing water, winter ice and garage flooding, and said the company never returned and that they obtained a judgment. Scheduling complaints also appear in dated accounts. In May 2023, a customer said a weather-related cancellation was not communicated, a promised deadline was missed and questions drew a dismissive response. A May 2022 reviewer described four missed visits and obtaining a refund after going to the office. In September 2021, another customer reported pavement imprints, garage water and repair scheduling that had remained unresolved for more than a year. Other older customers describe completed work they were pleased with. An October 2025 Angi reviewer said the crew dug out stones beneath a cracking driveway, explained the steps and finished the driveway in one day.
