Avalanche Tree and Landscaping LLC

Avalanche Tree and Landscaping LLC is a New Haven landscaping company that says it has been in business 16 years, and its website lists New Haven, Hamden, North Haven and Cheshire as its service area. A recent customer says Avalanche cut hedges that were long and out of control and cleaned up afterwards. Much of its work is tree removal. A 2023 customer said Greg and his crew removed a very tall pine on a corner between utility lines and near the home; the man who climbed the tree cut it down in sections without damage to the lines or the home, and the crew also took care of the stump and several other stumps the customer requested. A 2023 customer said four and a half tall trees came down from a steep hillside in half a day, after the job was assessed twice. A 2022 customer said Avalanche got a big truck into a tight back yard to take down a large branch hanging over from a neighbor's yard without scratching anything, and also removed a stump behind the garage. A 2024 customer said a job promised for two days was done in one. A 2024 customer said four workers cut their lawn and the job was done quickly. A 2024 customer said Greg agreed to $3,000 to cut two trees and take the wood, then called an hour after the crew started cutting to say taking the wood would make it $5,000, and the customer told him to leave. A 2024 customer said they scheduled lawn aeration and seeding and no one arrived on either of two days, with no update. A 2023 customer said the company never came back to fix ruts in a neighbor's yard used for access, and a dropped branch damaged a $550 antenna that was still bent. A 2023 customer said no one showed up for an appointment made with Greg.
