Derrex Landscaping describes itself as a locally owned business in New Haven, and its Thumbtack profile says Derrex has 30+ years of experience in landscaping, including cutting trees, mulching, poison ivy and brush. A 2024 customer said Derrex removed a lot of poison ivy, then mowed the lawn and trimmed the edges without charging extra. A 2024 Thumbtack customer said Derrex and his team cleaned up a massive amount of leaves and branches in their backyard, with ideas for the yard followed up by detailed measurements and assessments; that customer called the pricing reasonable. A 2022 customer said he had handled their landscaping and snow removal since they bought their home 5 years earlier, and had repaired their deck after a storm. A 2021 customer said Derrex came to do the job on the same day. A 2020 customer said he did not have a lot of equipment and had to come back a second day to do some of the work again and finish up; an update on that same review said the later job was done in one day.
