One recent customer has now hired Bart Flanagan Tree Service twice: the first time it removed 10 trees from their and their neighbors' property, and this time its staff removed branches overhanging the fence and shading the backyard flowers without any damage to the landscaping or patio furniture. That customer said the cost was very reasonable both times. The company's website lists tree and stump removal, view cutting, crane jobs, excavation and lot clearing, and snow plowing in Brunswick and Topsham. It names a dozen service towns, including Portland, Falmouth, Gorham and Windham. A recent customer said the company cleared their property in Readfield, Maine, cutting everything down while leaving some of the stronger trees as discussed, and added a retaining boulder wall that helped level a section of the property. A recent customer said Bart Flanagan's team helped their mom get a big tree that had fallen out of her yard and provided crane tree services for their in-laws, and cleaned up after both jobs. On HomeAdvisor, a recent customer said Bert answered all their texts, showed up on time and gave a very fair quote. A recent Google reviewer called the company "complete hacks" and told others not to use it. A 2026 customer said the team was pretty efficient with three tall trees and cut them into firewood. In 2026, that customer also said the team put a lot of their leaves in the wood chipper after being asked to leave them, and knocked out their fiber internet line. A 2025 customer said the company came out for a quote and fit them into the schedule a week later, and three trees and debris were taken down and cleaned up in under three hours. A 2023 customer said two maples that towered over the house came down in no time and the lawn area was cleaned up with a blower. In a 2022 review, a customer said Bart Flanagan met them to view a tree, his office provided a quote, and the team dropped the tree, chipped it and were done within a half hour.
Bert answered all my texts, showed up on time, and his quote was very fair. We will definitely hire him again when needed.
Worst tree service EVER! complete hacks. Do not use these guys.
This is the second time we have Bart Flanagan's Tree Service cut trees for us. The first was two years ago when they removed 10 trees from our and our neighbors property. We could not believe how polite and efficient the staff was. The equipment work was absolutely fantastic. and they cleaned up the yard like nothing had happened. They even helped up to keep some of the larger pieces of wood as firewood. Today, their staff removed tree branches that were overhanging over our fence and shading our backyard flowers. Again, very efficient and polite and, using different techniques, were able to remove the branches without any damage to our landscaping or patio furniture. They even helped with rearranging our furniture. Both times, we considered the cost to be very reasonable for the work performed. We highly recommend them for any tree removal services needs you might have. Thank you, Bart Flanagan Tree Services.
