We have been utilizing BDS transport for years, and these guys are great!!! We originally were introduced to them through large equipment purchase/deliveries through Fisher/Thermo. It's always the same combination of guys who show up which is awesome so we have a great working relationship with them at this point. They've done white glove delivery for us, assembled furniture and we even contracted them ourselves to move some lab equipment from Boston up to NH for us. Their prices were very reasonable too. We always look forward to a visit from them as they're just really hard working people, easy to get along with and funny too! We've worked with Mike, Austin, Joe and a few others. Everyone has been excellent, wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I was quoted $800 for one truck and three movers for 8 hours. I have a one-bedroom apartment with one bedroom set, one living room set, and a small kitchen set. Prior to moving day, I was told I would have one truck and three movers for four hours. I paid a $175 deposit, which I was told would be applied toward the total cost. However, I still ended up paying an additional $640, and I am requesting an explanation for this charge. I did not receive any paperwork to sign or any written breakdown showing the agreed-upon time, hourly rate, or total cost. The movers arrived at 10:00 AM and left at 2:00 PM. The two younger movers worked adequately, but the older gentleman appeared to struggle throughout the job. Several items that I was told would not fit or would be difficult to move were ultimately moved successfully: * I was told the headboard would not fit up the stairs, but after the legs were removed, it fit without issue. * I was told a tall dresser would not fit upstairs, yet it was moved upstairs successfully. * I was told my couch would not fit and they only attempted once before stopping, without trying to maneuver it further. Two friends later helped me move it upstairs without issue. * I was told my medium dresser could not be moved easily and was left in my kitchen. I was advised to remove drawers myself, which I feel should have been part of the service. I am also very concerned that my brand-new dresser (purchased about four months ago) was damaged during the move, with one of the legs broken. Based on my understanding of the agreement: * Truck fee: $230 (flat fee) * Labor: 3 movers at $39/hour for 4 hours = $468 * Total expected: $698 * Minus $175 deposit = $523 remaining balance However, I was charged $640, and I would like a detailed explanation of this discrepancy and a breakdown of all charges. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service and would not recommend this experience.
