Berkshire Property Managers, Inc.

Berkshire Property Managers describes itself on its website as a property management company, and lists resident placement, lawn care, snow removal and home repair among its services. A local news site has described it as a Pittsfield-based management company. A 2025 customer said Matt walked the property with them, then a few guys removed shrubs and planted new plants and mulch at the front of the house; that customer said they hired the company again to level part of the yard and put down new dirt and grass seed. A 2025 reviewer wrote that the company removed hazardous trees from a waterlogged backyard, regraded it for drainage, installed a French drain and laid topsoil and grass seed. A 2025 customer said Matt and his team installed a fiberglass pool, created a patio and put in a fence, then graded and hydroseeded the outer perimeter. A 2025 reviewer described a rain garden project next to a cold-water stream in Pittsfield and called the crew skilled with the heavy machinery. A 2025 review signed by the president of a Lee condominium thanked the company for snow removal on walks and driveways and for a spring cleanup. A 2024 customer said Matt and Chris plowed the parking lots of a Pittsfield business and had been on time after a rocky start. A recent customer said the company put in new carpet and paint, found a tenant, and now handles the mowing. A 2023 customer said landscapers moved their fishing boat twice, the second time knocking it off its trailer, and that a complaint call got no response. A 2023 customer said the team arrived the same day as a text notice and cut 6-year-old Concord grape vines without 24 hours' notice. A 2023 customer said they fired the company on January 12 and that it kept showing up and trying to bill them more than a month later. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 200809, is expired on the state registry.
