In March 2023 the Boston Globe and WGBH covered founder Karla Morales as the first business owner to take a loan under Eastern Bank's Equity Alliance for Business program; WGBH reported Morales employed ten people then, and described the Marlborough cleaning service as Your Home Detox, with Bohio Clean as a website connecting other cleaners to new clients. Two 2020 reviewers still call the business Your Home Detox. The written accounts run 2020 to 2024, and ten of the nineteen are from 2020. Those early ones settle on the products: a March 2020 client wrote that the house smelled good and shined after eco-friendly cleaners were used, another the same month that nothing harmful was used with children in the house. A February 2020 reviewer named Karla, Juana and Lorena and had them in every two weeks; a May 2020 client, four months pregnant, got a free estimate visited within a week. More recent work looks different in shape. A January 2024 customer had a just-purchased old house cleaned before the family moved in and arranged the whole thing through the app without meeting anyone, calling it timely and well priced. An April 2024 reviewer recommends them to any business. On Google the company sits at 4.8 from 18 ratings; on Angi, 5.0 from 11. The thing to sort out is which kind of clean you are buying. Two Google reviewers in the fall of 2023 drew the same line: good for a weekly or every-other-week house clean, not what they wanted from a deep or move-out clean. The October 2023 one said the cleaner who arrived asked where and what to clean rather than doing what had been described, while noting that communication from the owner and manager was very good; the September 2023 one went back the next day and would not recommend them for a move-out.
