By the company's own account, Stephen Brandon started in 2009 with a push mower. What shows up now is a crew that will strip a yard to bare ground and rebuild it: a June 2026 customer had a complete yard replacement with fresh loam, sod and irrigation, and called the work hands-on from quote to finish. Brandon Landscaping runs out of Pembroke and lists Kingston, Plymouth, Duxbury, Marshfield, Scituate, Hingham, Quincy and a dozen other South Shore towns as its service area. The company describes itself as a landscaping and hardscaping outfit — landscape design, patios, walkways and retaining walls, land clearing and site prep, lawn installs, and snow removal in winter — working residential and commercial, owner-operated by Brandon himself, with 15 years in business by its own count. Most of what customers write about is the weekly route. In August 2025 a homeowner in their third year said the crew had never missed a mowing day; another that same week described debris cleared off walkways and porches before the trucks left, and easy rescheduling when a week had to be skipped. Two reviewers describe Stephen coming out himself to walk the property before quoting, and an April 2025 shed-prep customer got a reply within hours and a quote the same day. The bigger jobs are real. A June 2026 review describes a large retaining wall the neighbors keep complimenting; a January 2025 customer had a patio redone; another in January 2025 listed granite stairs among site improvements; and in November 2024 a homeowner had a sunken section of driveway fixed and a rotting raised-bed garden removed next to a crawlspace entrance. The thing to settle before you sign is when crews arrive and what they are allowed to touch. In May 2026 a customer came home around 1pm to find both fence gates open and one dog missing after an unannounced second fertilizer application. In November 2025 another said they had told the company in person and by text not to apply fertilizer, since a different company handled it, and the treatments went ahead regardless. An April 2026 reviewer called a spring cleanup a horror show, blamed poor communication, and advised being on site when the crew starts. A second April 2026 customer, who said the season began well and the work met expectations, still ended with "I do NOT recommend." Put the service schedule in writing, name anything you do not want applied to your lawn, and ask how you will be told before a crew shows up, especially if you have pets or gates.
