Briamonte Landscaping

In a September 2020 Angi review, a customer ran down what Ariel Briamonte had done for them: a stone wall, underground sprinklers, downspout drains run beneath the lawn, a leveled yard, sod, French drains — and added that he could advise on plantings too. That breadth is the pitch Briamonte Landscaping makes for itself: a family-operated, full-service landscaper on Cherry Street in Newton, covering Boston, Brookline, Waltham, Wellesley and Weston, with both its Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles putting it at 29 years. Then there is December 2024. A Google reviewer wrote that they hired Ariel Briamonte and his father for a substantial masonry job, that it was subcontracted to another mason without their knowledge, and that the stones were set uneven, with a brown sandstone used rather than a matching gray. It is a first-hand account of a job going wrong, and it is the newest one written. The other three are short and older: five stars in May 2020 and June 2022, alongside that detailed 2020 account. Google sits at 3 stars from two ratings, while Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 5.0 from two reviews, and both list design landscaping, irrigation and masonry as the services. For planting, irrigation, drainage and lawn work around Newton, the praise here — all of it written between 2020 and 2022 — points that way. If your job is masonry, ask up front who will actually lay the stone, whether any part of it goes to a subcontractor, and get the stone type and color written into the contract before anyone starts.
