One reviewer described the crew walking the whole property with magnets afterwards, hunting stray roofing nails out of the driveway and the grass. That detail turns up again and again in different words — yard swept daily, nothing left behind, the site left cleaner than they found it. For a roofing and siding outfit, that is the thing people remember. Brian Dobbins is the owner-operator here, working out of Boxford and trading through Len Gibely Contracting, the Peabody company whose name appears on all of the reviews. The work is the building envelope and almost nothing else: asphalt and rubber roofs, skylights, Hardie fiber-cement and CertainTeed vinyl siding, Andersen window replacements, entry doors, PVC trim, seamless gutters, dormers and exterior carpentry. Permits run across Danvers, Beverly, Newburyport, Manchester-by-the-Sea and Marblehead, where a June 2024 job covered a rear rubber roof, three skylights, three casement windows and an entry door for about $21,000. Typical permit value sits near $14,400, though jobs reach well past $100,000. On Angi the record is 4.9 across 230 ratings, and the detail in the write-ups is what makes it convincing. A 2021 customer listed the exact assembly — Landmark PRO shingles in Moire Black, CertainTeed Cedar Impressions Double 7-inch vinyl in Charcoal, new seamless gutters, PVC fascia and rakes, a rebuilt chimney cricket — and named the general manager and office manager alongside Brian. A 2020 reviewer, a construction manager by trade, said they can be hard to please and were not. A 2023 repeat customer, back for siding and windows after a roof three years earlier, said the estimate held and the crew showed up daily until it was done. Two things to weigh. The written record stops in August 2023, so nothing describes how the company is running now. And permit filings have thinned sharply — 21 in 2023, seven in 2024, one in 2025 — which may mean a smaller operation than the review volume suggests. Right call for a roof, siding or window job on the North Shore where a clean, tidy site matters. Confirm the Massachusetts construction supervisor licence and the home improvement contractor registration with the state before signing, and ask which entity the contract is with.

Without hesitation, we recommend Len Gibley Contracting. Three years ago, we hired them to replace our roof and were very satisfied with the work, price, cleanliness, and timeliness. So, when it came to our siding and window renovation, we included them in the bidding process. Brian Dobbins was very responsive from start to finish. During the bidding process for Hardie Siding, Andersen Windows, gutters, and porch and deck repairs, Brian listened well, offered solid solutions, and gave us a competitive and detailed proposal. During the renovation, he was there to answer questions and solve problems. Brian's professional and hardworking crew showed up daily through completion. They finished on time and budget with no surprises. We are thrilled with the quality of the materials and installation, and we're glad we made a significant investment with Len Gibley Contracting. Thank you, Len Gibley - Our house looks brand new!

The project (new roof on a large house) was completed quickly and we'll. And without a speck of materials left behind. Very very impressed.

2020 Recommendation for Len Gibely Contracting Dear Brian Dobbins and Crew, I got more than what I paid for with Len Gibely Contracting! I engaged Gibely in October of 2020 to replace my roof, gutters, siding and more. In a world where everyone makes you feel like a number, Gibely clearly gave you a family atmosphere on the job site. Two words,...they cared! Brian Dobbins (owner), Jeff Northcott (general manager) and Deb Dwinnell (office manager) were a pleasure to deal with. They were easy to reach, and they were willing to adjust for certain changes we had asked for. Brian's experience helped us decide on the roof color (and quality) and gave us valuable suggestions regarding the siding. Never did I expect siding to look this nice, and this real (like wood). The crew was always on-time, polite, clean and most of all, professional throughout the job. It seemed like they never stopped working. They were on the job site early and left as late as possible. No one was hanging around, everybody was working and doing their part. My yard and driveway were cleaned daily. Myles was extremely neat. Craftsmen to detail, and no hidden costs or secrets. Our Job was finished on schedule, and they were able to accommodate a time frame that I thought was not going to happen. The aftermath of COVID-19 in 2020 left many of the surrounding warehouses with little to no stock available for projects. Len Gibley Contractors worked very hard to acquire the products needed. Calls began to be made and slowly but surely everything needed to complete the job began to arrive! This is why Len Gibely Contracting gets the great reviews, they care. Nothing but courtesy and an open ear to make the customer happy. I am glad I found them. Most comfortable renovations I've completed in years because I was able to sit back and realize why I trusted this company to do what they do. The Certainteed products are extremely nice. Nothing but compliments on the work. Many people still think we used wood siding again. This is what we used: Landmark PRO roofing shingles Moire black, Certainteed Cedar Impressions Double 7" vinyl Charcoal, New seamless white gutters and downspouts, White PVC trim, fascia boards, rakes and windows, Roof vents, And they rebuilt my chimney cricket & did more. My house (and my shed) look awesome! Len Gibely, you are more than welcome to use my house for display if you would like. We HIGHLY recommend Len Gibely Contracting. We also wanted to thank everyone who worked here on the site and created a better looking home. We love the house. Nice job! Guarino Family Reading, MA

I never write reviews but I felt this company deserves one. We hired them after a few estimates came in and while they were not the cheapest (or most expensive), they were the BEST. They gave us multiple references and houses to look at that they had done. We were deciding between 2 colors and it helped to have a list of places to drive by to make our decision. We had the house done during the summer and were a bit worried with COVID, but they never needed to come in the house. The workers were the hardest working employees we have ever seen - LONG hours, few breaks and they were always happy to answer questions and were very polite! They were amazing - honestly! Lastly, but most important - my husband tops the list as the "most picky person EVER". He had a hard time finding any little thing wrong. Their workmanship was top notch. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship was A++. We really knew nothing about this company so we were worried going into the job. We went off of reviews and the fact they have been in business a long time and it was the best decision. We absolutely love the house and all the work they did. We had a LOT of questions prior to starting the job and Brian answered everything promptly and with great detail. Very Very helpful. Kudos to their whole team!

Brian and his crew did an excellent job replacing siding. The teams attention to detail and the resultant quality of the job was excellent. Brian's carpenters are highly skilled and go out of their way to make sure the customer is satisfied.
