Briggs Contracting takes buildings down. Its website says it provides demolition services for many different types of projects and names Portland as its service area, and the company says it has been in business 10 years. A recent Google customer needed a partially collapsing, rotting 19th century barn torn down. That customer says Briggs was very quick to provide a quote and easy to schedule, the demolition went smoothly, and the site was left much cleaner than expected. A recent customer who rebuilt after a fire says every worker was professional and every comment was addressed with immediacy. A 2026 customer said they had worked with Briggs Contracting over the years and that it showed up prepared for contracting work or demolition. A 2020 customer said Briggs took down their 200+ year old barn after the roof collapsed and helped save as much of the wood and family mementos as possible. A 2020 customer said they posted a garage demo job on Facebook on a Sunday, and by Friday the garage was gone and the area cleaned up. A 2019 customer said a pool removal was done in one day at a reasonable price in a fairly confined space, and the loaming and grass seeding were finished in half a day. A 2020 customer said Chaz and his crew were efficient and tidy in their work and more than fair in their charges. Briggs holds 4.9 stars on Google from 34 ratings, 4.9 stars on Angi from 14 ratings and 4.9 stars on HomeAdvisor from 14 ratings, and its Better Business Bureau grade is A+.
