Brooks Post & Beam designs and builds timber frame homes and barns. Its Houzz profile says the company has done that work since 1967, and that Paul Freeman took over the company from Phil Brooks in 2006. Its website says Brooks developed the first computer-controlled timber cutting machine in the world. A recent Google reviewer wrote that they had just completed the building of their Brooks Post and Beam, called the quality and the structures incredible, described the design as energy efficient and smartly designed, and recommended them over the huge, non-personalized timber frame companies. In a 2025 Houzz review, a reviewer said Phil, his son and crew did a beautiful job on a 16x24 sunroom addition put on the house.

Had a 16x24 sunroom addition put on my house. Phil & his son & crew did a beautiful job. The room was the star attraction of our home. I grew many plants & enjoying watching the seasons change with all the glass.
