Brox Industries is the outfit that shows up when a state highway needs resurfacing — and the plant that sells you the cold patch for the hole at the end of your driveway. It works out of Hudson, New Hampshire, says it was founded in 1949, and calls itself family-owned; its Better Business Bureau profile names Stephen M. Brox as president and reports 175 employees. The paving side runs to seven-figure public work. New Hampshire's Executive Council authorized a contract with Brox for pavement preservation on NH 111 and NH 28 on a low bid of $5,072,517.73, and another for pavement resurfacing on NH Route 125 in Plaistow, Lee and Barrington at $3,667,493.20; in April 2022 the Nashua Telegraph named the company the general contractor on a $5.1 million project. Behind the paving crews sit the company's own materials — hot mix asphalt, crushed stone, sand and gravel — plus cold planing and sitework. The people writing reviews are mostly buying from the plant. Google shows 4.8 stars from 18 ratings, and in April 2026 one reviewer called the operation neat, clean and organized with fast service and no delays, then spent the rest of the review on the cold patch: sticky, easy to apply, better than any they had used. Another April 2026 review kept it to a line about service and material quality. One complaint is about the yard rather than the paving. In an October 2023 review, a customer said the facility's lube-spray sensor sits too high to register someone standing under the hose, so you get sprayed with diesel, and raised it as an EPA risk. For paving or a materials order across the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire — Hudson, Hooksett, Amherst, Keene and Rochester are on its list — this is a large operation with its own plant behind it.
