Buxton Oil & Propane says it delivers propane and heating oil to dozens of communities across Southeast and Seacoast New Hampshire and Northeast Massachusetts. Its self-written BBB profile describes a family-owned company with offices in Exeter and Epping NH that delivers heating and fuel oil and bulk water. A recent customer who switched in the summer of 2025 says a man named Ron came out to check the tank and appliances and delivered through the winter's conditions. A recent customer thanks a technician, Tim, for priming a boiler and getting the hot water back. A recent customer moving to a natural gas boiler says that over 20-plus years the automatic refills came at the right time. A 2026 customer said that after a big snow storm the delivery driver showed up at 8:30am following an order placed around 7pm the night before, and got right to work even though the path was not cleared. A 2025 customer with a new propane system said Ron stopped by to check the tanks and made a delivery outside their regular day. A 2026 customer said the company drafted their card for a delivery promised for February 23 or 24, then never showed up or called. A 2026 customer said a woman at the company hung up on their mother when she called about snow removal to the tank. A 2023 Reddit commenter said Buxton botched the prices on a payment plan, doubling them by accident.

Well I can say after switching to them the Summer of 2025, they have been absolutely incredible!!! I was with another big company that got bought out, for many many years and their customer service became absolutely horrible! I called Buxton Oil Company and spoke to woman named Amy. She didn't know me from a hole in the wall but treated me like I was family and that was just over the phone. I went in to meet her and will say I am so glad I did! I ended up switching my account over to them and Thank God I did because I had received the Best Service I have ever had from an oil and propane co I have ever been with!!! Even over this past crazy cold and snowy Winter we had, they were absolutely amazing! Well they sent a gentleman named Ron out to check my tank and appliances and meeting him was like I had known him for years. He was the one who delivered through all those crazy conditions we had this year. Thank you so much Ron! Well I went in to sign up again with them for the upcoming year and met the manager named Jason. He stopped his insanely busy day to come out and introduce himself. We had talked for a little bit and told him I would love to have my Brother-in-law switch to them. He said absolutely would love it. I will tell everyone who reads this review that the best thing they could do is switch to Buxton Oil Company Inc! Ps, my Brother-in-law sent an email and already canceled being with that other company today knowing how awesome they are here and moving over to them. Thank you to Jason the Manager, Amy, Ron, who you must see in all the Buxton ads in the truck and all the other GREAT staff that works here! You all are amazing! Looking forward for many many many years with you guys.

Buxton Oil : We've decided to switch over to a natural gas boiler. I would like to say -- the 20+ years with Buxton Oil have been very good. We mostly went with Buxton's automatic refill scheduled service. The refills came at the right time. Gave them my payment info they drafted my card said they would be here on Monday February 23rd or Tuesday February 24th an neglect to show up or call an just never delivered my oil now it Sunday march 1st an I just returned from my vaction an my house is freezing real nice company likes to screw over their customers real nice Buxton! If you need oil dont deal with these bums!
FIRE BRENDA SCHULTZ!!! This highly rude woman hung up on my 83 year old mother who just had spine surgery when she called to discuss snow removal to the tank. It was shoveled all except the last few feet which she would have known if she didn't hang up on her. You should be ashamed of yourselves for being so rude to an elderly disabled woman. Who raised you Brenda? Don't worry, the man from her new oil company is lovely and very kind. Bless your little (cold) heart!
