A 2023 customer who stays in Florida for the cold months said C V Oil Co. did automatic delivery to keep their Vermont house heated, and that the bill could now be paid online. The company says on its website that it delivers oil and propane across the White River Valley, naming towns including Barnard, Bethel, Killington, Pittsfield, Rochester, Stockbridge and Woodstock. It holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau and 4.6 stars from 20 Google ratings. In a 2026 review, a first-time homeowner said technician Charlie responded the same day to an emergency furnace issue, fixed the problem and walked them through how to maintain the furnace. A 2024 customer said the company installed a below-ground 1,000-gallon tank at their home in Plymouth and called Levi, their service contact, responsive. In a 2023 review, a customer said the people sent out to hook up a boiler cleaned up the boiler room before they left. A 2023 customer who was house sitting said Tim stopped by after they had canceled a service call for a problem that turned out to be electrical, to make sure they were ok. A recent customer says the company is terrible about getting back to people and was rude, and that they were told to call someone else. In a 2022 review, a person who had not yet contracted for its services called the company accusatory and curt and said it worked to get their negative review deleted.
