CamCo Lawn Care describes itself as providing lawn care, hardscaping and commercial snow services across Central Maine. Its website lists a service area running from Augusta, Gardiner and Farmingdale to Winthrop, Readfield, Sidney and Belgrade. The newest account is a complaint. A 2026 customer said CamCo did an initial mow of their duplex and then did not come the following weeks; texts and a message left with the office went unanswered, and the customer ended the service. A 2024 customer said CamCo built a fairly large patio. In 2024, Brian and Barb Libby thanked Cody and his team for a new pool deck and patio and wrote that the rate quoted for the project was reasonable. A 2023 customer said CamCo prepared and leveled a base and installed brick pavers around a fire pit. A 2023 customer said Cody and Sam built a set of steps up to the front porch. A 2022 customer said Cody and his crew removed the old walk and built a new walkway to the house during 90-plus-degree weather. A 2023 customer said CamCo removed the puckerbrush in their back yard, cut saplings, then smoothed the surface, added loam and seeded it for grass. A 2021 customer wrote that after back surgery, Cody and his crew handled weekly mowing, weed whacking, leaf blowing, loam and seeding, mulching and a fall cleanup. A 2021 customer who used CamCo for plowing said he plowed their driveway, which has a steep hill, came several times during a big storm, and sanded and salted it when they needed it.
**Editing my review from 3 years ago: I've changed my 5 star review to 2 stars because this season something changed. This would have been our 6th summer with CamCo to mow our duplex. They agreed to take us on again, did an initial mow, then the following week our tenant let us know they didn't come. So on Sunday I texted Camco. No response (Memorial weekend, to be fair) so I followed up on Tuesday morning and got a response that they didn't know what happened the week before but they would fix it. Meanwhile we had it listed to rent out. Friday comes, still no mow for week two. I call the office during business hours, leave a message. I text, no response. No response at all so on Sunday I let them know we won't be needing their services anymore, and my husband went over to mow almost 3 weeks worth of grass. No communication from them in any way, with the exception we just received the invoice for that one week. I want to give a one star review because I'm extremely disappointed: we needed the place to look nice for potential tenants, which I told them, and as a small business you'd think they get that. But to go weeks, and fail at communication.... I mentioned below in my original 5 star review their reliability. However, for things to shift so suddenly I wonder if something odd must be going on, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and going with two stars instead of one.** We've used them for 3 summers now for general mowing for our rental, and I love how reliable they are!
