Carl's Septic Systems and Services in New Hampshire says on its website that it has been in business for 40 years, and it lists a service area of Raymond, Deerfield, Auburn, Goffstown, Bedford and Litchfield. In a recent review, a customer called Carl's to have their mother's septic pumped in Epping; the owner, Tobey, said that was outside his service area but still sent Julian out to pump it, at $100 less than the company the mother had used for years. The mother said the worker closed and covered the tank so the torrential rain could not get in. Another recent review says Julian came by early Monday morning with his septic truck, and after he emptied the tank the drain from the house turned out to be blocked. He rigged a hose and shot water through the line, and it worked. That customer says they paid less, even with the extra work, than in previous years to have the septic pumped. A recent reviewer says the owner, Toby, helped them twice in urgent situations late at night: once he came out and took care of the issue, and once he walked them through troubleshooting over the phone and refused any payment for that help. In another recent review, Caleb, a pump specialist, came in early on a holiday weekend and addressed the customer's issue. In a 2024 review, a customer with a septic smell and constant wet spots said Tobey determined the leach field was shot, got to work on an estimate and quickly had his team digging up the yard. That 2024 customer said the job included hydro-seeding at the end.
My mother needed her septic pumped so I called Carl’s. She lives in Epping and the owner Tobey said that wasn’t in his service area. But he still sent his guy Julian out to pump the septic. $100 cheaper than the company my mother had previously used for years. After the service her exact words were “ Tell Tobey his worker closed and covered the tank perfect so the torrential rain could not get in until we could rebury! We were very happy and impressed!” Carl’s delivered exactly what they promised.
I can't say enough good things about Carl's Septic System and Services and its owner, Toby. He has helped us twice now in urgent situations, both late at night when we weren't sure what to do. The first time, Toby came out and took care of the issue quickly and professionally. The second time, instead of scheduling a service call, he took the time to help us troubleshoot the problem over the phone. He patiently walked us through what to do, helped us solve the issue, and never once tried to sell us something we didn't need. What impressed me most was that he refused any form of payment for the help he provided over the phone. He genuinely helped us out of the kindness of his heart and simply wanted to do the right thing. In today's world, that kind of honesty and integrity is hard to find. Toby is the real deal—an honest man running an honest business and putting people before profits. It's clear that he truly cares about his customers and his community. If you ever need septic services, I highly recommend Carl's Septic System and Services. We are incredibly grateful for Toby's help and will continue to call him whenever we need assistance.
Julian from Carl's Septic stoped by early Monday morning with his septic truck. The service was fantastic and the price was very affordable. After he emptied the tank we discovered the drain from the the house was blocked and I worried that it was going to cost a small fortune to fix and that my plumbing would remain out of order. But Julian said not to worry. He rigged a hose and shot a force of water through the line, told me to half fill my bath tub on the second floor and let it drain. And boom, it worked like a charm. They know their stuff at Carl's. The service was fast, very professional and like I said, very affordable. Even with the extra work that was required, I paid less than I have paid in previous years to have my septic pumped. I highly recommend this outstanding company.

We were having issues with our septic, we kept smelling it and had constant wet spots. I called Carl's Septic and Tobey came right out and was able to determine that our leach field was shot!
