Caron Electric is an electrical business in Lexington, Massachusetts, and its company license is listed as active in the state registry. A 2022 article says Caron owns the company and appeared on This Old House for eight seasons. The customer accounts are sharply negative. In a 2023 review, a homeowner said a scheduled generator service drew repeated unanswered calls and no visit; in a 2022 review, another said an electrician never called back after a defective main breaker left the house without power. An undated complaint page describes a separate house-addition dispute involving an alleged walk-off after substantial payment. Caron Electric is the right trade for an electrical project, but confirm response times, follow-up service, and the exact scope in writing before booking.
“Caron, who owns Caron Electric and was featured on“This Old House” for eight seasons”
“Contracted to complete a house addition for 225k, no schedule given, threatened to walk off job several times if not paid upfront, then walked half way through job when he had been paid 205k.”
Generator was supposed to be serviced in December and no one showed up. Have called several times and left messages but got no call back. Koehler app indicates service needed. Also tried to submit and on line request for appointment and that didn’t work. The number that indicates that a live person will answer just goes to voice mail. Caron installed this generator and I was very pleased, but follow up service seems to be lacking.
I had the electricity go out in my house ( defective main breaker). I called Caron and was told an electrician would get back to me in an hour or so. That was 3 days ago, and no call back at all. Glad I ended up calling O’Reilly electric. They called back within an hour and fixed the problem later that day.
