Casella Waste Systems hauls household trash and recycling. Its BBB profile describes residential curbside pickups, dumpster rentals and business services, and the company's website says it has been at this for over five decades. Google shows 2.2 stars across 54 ratings, while its BBB page carries an A+ grade and accreditation. A recent Google customer said Casella missed pickups, lied about it, and offered call-backs that never happened. A recent reviewer wrote that on a Friday the Casella truck picked up a neighbor's trash around 11:15 am and never came back up their street. A 2025 customer in Rutland said their trash was very rarely picked up on time and that sometimes weeks were missed. A 2025 reviewer said they called in early October 2025 to cancel after a month without pickup, were twice promised an off-cycle visit that never came, and still got a bill in November 2025 with no refund. A 2023 customer said Casella had not removed a 2-yard dumpster after 3 months and kept charging for it. A 2025 customer said they were told a rug had to be cut into 4-foot pieces before it would be taken. A 2025 reviewer said Brianna Shaw arranged a last-minute emergency move of a dumpster that had been put in the wrong place in their parking lot before a party. A 2025 customer said Jordan called back when she said she would. A 2025 reviewer gave four stars, said they were given a trash bin and a full-size no-sort recycling bin, and called the service a little pricey.
This is the worst company, they have missed pick up’s, then lie about it, very difficult to contact someone who is willing to help. They offer calls back that never happen. I will be contacting other companies and switching. But I don’t recommend them.
Friday, June 19th, Casella truck picks up my neighbor's trash at around 11:15 am. I usually wait about a half hour for the same truck to come back up. Never came back up my street. I've been waiting for too long, and I'm getting sick and tired of the Friday routes always being so late. When Republic Services used to do all of this they all did my area's pick up in the AM!!! They've done a lot better than this company has done. Casella, change the Friday routes to be at earlier times and be more on time with pickups! So sick of this!
Our Trash & Recycling bin are always outside at the Curb early in the Morning but, they either come really late like around 5 Pm or they don't come until the next day! This is Ridiculous & I don't have time to check their Website!!!!
Extremely unreliable service. Pickups were missed multiple times with little to no communication. Save yourself the headache and go with a different company.
Worst People to deal with , the have no problem charging you full amount every month but Iv been getting serviced 2-3 times max because they always find an ba excuse that they couldn’t come and some how it’s my fault ,I’m locked into a agreement I wasn’t even aware of so please call waste management because this people absolutely suck
