Casner Home Improvement takes the mixed bag of house jobs: a deck extension, a two-color room with a chair rail, a rotted fence gate, a console that came in a box. The Greenwich company holds a 4.8 from 30 ratings on Angi, a 4.8 from 27 on HomeAdvisor and a 5.0 from 2 on Thumbtack, and the name in its reviews is Rainer, also spelled Reiner. In September 2026, a customer said Reiner and his team extended a deck "along with rock removal and masonry work." An August 2026 reviewer had a room painted in two colors separated by a chair rail and said the job was scheduled within two weeks of a prompt estimate. In a December 2025 Thumbtack review, a customer moving into a new apartment said he came the next morning and assembled "a very difficult console in no time." Earlier reviews show the range. A 2023 customer said Rainer and a colleague rebuilt a large rotted fence gate; another had sheetrock repaired and a full room painted in two days. In October 2022, one reviewer described Rainer stripping kitchen wallpaper, putting up a ceramic tile backsplash, and laying vinyl floor planking across a kitchen and family room, at "a little less than originally planned"; another had fascia, soffit and window casing repairs done, and a third had cracks repaired and a two-story living room painted from scaffolding. An October 2022 customer who has hired the crew for carpentry, painting and power washing said Rainer "can be a little pricey." One review is a hard complaint. In September 2022, a customer described "really poor painting" with the old color showing, holes not sanded or patched, paint coming off after a month, and the price going up after the quote; the customer said the company declined to redo the work. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0658783, is active under Casner Home Improvement LLC.
Reiner and his team were wonderful to work with. He extended a deck for us, along with rock removal and masonry work.
We had a great experience. His price was reasonable. He responded to all messages. Was easy to schedule a visit to house to look at room we wanted painted. He promptly gave us an estimate and scheduled the job within 2 weeks. His work was fantastic. The room looks great. It was two colors with a chair rail separating. He was neat and cleaned up everything. He was polite and professional. Would definitely use again and recommend him to others.
Rainer is a professional .He does great work ! He is very merticulous in his work and always has a great attitude. Rainer is the best !
What an absolutely pleasure. I was in a bind his moving into a new apartment and with all new items that come in a small box with a million pieces. He responded back with minutes and came by the next morning! He was able to assemble a very difficult console in no time. Will definitely be having him return for other work around my home. THANK YOU!
Rainer was so easy to work with. Great communication, stuck to the agreed upon time table, was very thorough with the details of the work and was so friendly/cordial. His quote was very fair as well. I highly recommend him and his team.

Typical Connecticut range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Casner Home Improvement Llc. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.
