In a 2024 review, a customer said Andrew Catacchio and his team installed a concrete walkway from their driveway to their deck, that it looked great and was completed in a timely fashion. In another 2024 review, a customer said they prepaid for a 15% discount and hired Andrew Catacchio on March 18, 2024 to grind 5 stumps, remove debris, loam and reseed the front yard, edge and mulch, and build a 100 sq ft patio. That customer said there was very little communication unless they initiated it, that "next week" was promised several times with no shows, that a load of mulch dumped in the driveway in May mostly sat there until Sep 27, 2024, and that the patio promised by July 4th was finished Sep 24, 2024. A recent customer says the company charged $6,500 for a 400 sq ft concrete patio, that they had to ask more than 3 times to have the border fixed before the concrete was poured, and that the finished slope is so uneven they keep a piece of wood under one side of their grill. The same customer says he wanted to be paid in full before the job was done and left a pile of concrete in the yard.
My wife hired this company based on a recommendation from my family member. He charged 6,500 for a 400sq fr concrete patio. My family member dug out the hole for him, we had the material paid for and delivered to the house and he used my family members tractor to move the material. So he then had to level, boarder, pour and shape concrete. I don’t know the prices for this kind of job so I won’t harp on the price we paid for the job done. However the communication throughout this job was awful. I had come home before an appointment and I’m glad I did I had to ask more than 3 times to have the boarder fixed before concrete was poured. It was not going to line up with my existing deck and was not straight at all. Glad I was able to say something before the concrete was poured because if not I would’ve been stuck with that. After the concrete was poured and dried the slope did not look good. We had said something about it he wanted to slope it towards the wood line but sloped it in every direction and the slope did not look gradual. It’s so uneven I have to now keep a piece of wood under one side of my grill to have it level to cook on…. He said there was nothing wrong with the slope and blamed it on our deck being being two different heights. I can’t even put furniture on it without it teeter tottering. The patio is not functional for what we wanted it for which is really disappointing. Even after all this and us not liking it he wouldn’t compromise to do a water wash and seal coat on it as that cost extra. We are not happy with the job at all. He wanted to be paid in full before the job was even done which is weird I’ve never had a hired contractor ask for that. We still have a pile of concrete in our yard he never removed and now we’re going to have to dig it out. He did the stained border and none of the lines are straight, it honestly looks like a child did it. After the going back and fourth we did not pay him for the second half of the job yet. There was a miscommunication and he went and bitched to my family member causing an entire fight between me and them which is highly unprofessional! I wish we never took the recommendation for this company and I would not recommend anyone to use this company in the future. It’s really unfortunate to spend the money on a job and have more than a handful of people come over and point out the flaws and how it does not look good! We’re taking the L on this one and moving on. We will pay to have it removed, fixed and done right in the future by a more reputable company!
I took advantage of a 15% discount if prepaid by March 31, 2024 and hired Andrew Catacchio from Catacchio Property Maintenance on March 18, 2024 to grind 5 stumps, remove misc debris, loam and reseed front yard, edge and mulch, and do a 100 sq ft patio. I know, NEVER prepay, that's on me. Happy to be done with this 6 month project, Andrew Catacchio and Catacchio Property Maintenance. Will not recommend nor hire again for these reasons: • Very little communication unless initiated by me. • The famous "next week' was told several times with no shows. • In July I asked him to wait till early fall for the reseeding. • In May a load of mulch was dumped in my driveway, where most of it sat until Sep 27, 2024 • A small 100 sq ft patio with completion promised by July 4th was finished Sep 24, 2024. • Andrew Catacchio came with a crew to finish this 6 month job on Sep 27th • I never realized loam consisted of rocks, sticks, weeds and roots. Learn something new every day.
Had Andrew Catacchio and his team install a concrete walkway from my driveway to my deck. They did an excellent job. Looks great and was completed in a timely fashion. Highly recommend for any landscaping or hard scaping job that needs to be done!
