Grace Landscape and Construction LLC

Grace Landscape and Construction is an Oxford outfit that's really one guy's operation — reviewers know him as Jim, Jimmy, or James — doing everything from yard cleanups and drainage systems to stone patios, retaining walls, and the occasional handyman fix like a leaky ceiling or a slider door install. Forty-seven reviews going back to 2018 put Google and HomeAdvisor both right around 4.8 stars, and the newest review, from this spring, keeps up the streak. The pattern that repeats across years is a homeowner hiring Jim for one small job and then coming back for bigger ones once the first went well. In a 2022 review, a customer described Jim stepping in to finish a stone construction job someone else had abandoned, then staying on for tree trimming and more work; in a 2024 review, another described a permanent drainage system built for a yard with 'hills and drainage issues'. On pricing, reviewers across both platforms describe quotes that held — 'the cost was exactly as quoted,' one wrote in 2023 — and the work stretching well beyond straight landscaping into fence repair, drywall, and door installs. Two reviews break the pattern. In a 2024 review, a customer said a one-day garden bed job stretched to two weeks with repeated extra labor charges on top of a quote that was supposed to include labor, ending in a $2,300 bill for a job never finished. In a 2023 review, a customer said Jim showed up for an estimate and then never returned a call. Both are outliers against a long run of five-star write-ups, but worth asking about directly — get the quote and scope in writing before work starts. For hardscaping and yard work around Oxford and Worcester County, especially a project that might grow from a small job into a bigger one, Grace Landscape has a long, mostly-glowing record behind it — just confirm price and timeline up front given the two complaints on file.
