CDS Contracting Services

Read the client list before you call: DCAMM, the City of Boston, the Town of Brookline, Massport, Shawmut, Turner Construction, and lighting upgrades at Roxbury Community College, Harvard, Northeastern and UMass Boston. CDS Contracting Services is a Holbrook electrical contractor built around public and institutional work, not house calls. The company says it has been at it since 2006, and describes itself as a certified Minority Business Enterprise registered with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Boston under the Supplier Diversity Office. Its four stated competencies are lighting, power systems, fire alarm, and telecommunications and data — commercial system renovations and upgrades, with design/build offered on request. The one hard, independently checked fact here is the licence: Massachusetts lists electrician licence 1428 as active in the company's own name, not a principal's. For a business chasing state and municipal contracts that is the credential that matters, and it checks out. What is missing is the customer side. Its BBB page shows zero reviews and no accreditation, and no review platform carries anything either. That is normal for a firm whose customers are general contractors and public agencies rather than homeowners — those relationships live in bid tabulations, not star ratings — but it means there is nothing written about how they treat a residential client. If you are a GC, a facilities manager, or a homeowner with a large commercial-scale job, this is a real bidder with a verified licence and a public-sector history. For a panel swap or a kitchen rewire, ask first whether they take residential work at all.
