Central Air, LLC. installs and repairs heating and cooling systems, and Google shows it at 4.9 stars from 216 ratings. The company's website lists furnace, air conditioner, heat pump and mini-split work, says it has been in business 23 years, and names a service area that includes Brookfield, Danbury, Newtown, New Milford and Middlebury. One recent customer had an old central AC unit replaced with a new heat pump; Brian walked them through the options from the estimate, and Ian took them through the new system at the end of the day. Another job put AC mini-split units into the upstairs rooms of a cape home, with Elvys making the recommendations and the office staff handling the logistics. For a new heating and AC system, the customer said the system was digitally measured and mapped in advance and the final installation lined up with those plans. A variable speed central AC install in a 70's colonial needed several ducts added in the closets. On the repair side, a customer said Kevin had the compressor replaced and they were up and running. One customer said it was the only company that would help with their AC problem without an oil contract, and cleaned the unit without a maintenance contract. From a first meeting with Adam to final completion, one install took 2 weeks. A 2026 customer, a former builder with a complicated job, said there were a few after-install issues and that the company came back to sort them out in a timely manner. A 2025 review described a complete replacement of a home HVAC system that included 2 furnaces, 2 A/C units, 2 humidifiers and a hot water heater. In a 2024 review, a customer said Central Air repaired a unit another company had installed a few times, then the owner, Elvys T., called Lennox and requested a new unit, which Lennox agreed to. A 2023 customer said the company installed the duct work to create a second zone in a two-story home after other companies said it couldn't be done. A 2025 customer said they waited weeks upon weeks for service, paid what they called an over-priced bill and still had to bring in another company to resolve the issue. It holds an active Connecticut D1 heating and cooling contractor licence, HTG.0407859-D1, under Elvys A Tejada.
No fuzz, called the office, scheduled the service, scope of services and the price clearly spelled out. Kevin performed the service and everything went smoothly. Smooth process.
Could not have been a better experience. Professional and respectful!!! Elvis and his entire team was an absolute pleasure to work with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
The project was to install AC minisplit units in the upstairs rooms of a cape home. Elvys was very professional and knowledgeable when making his recommendations as well as when he came with his team for the install. The office staff at Central Air was also incredibly responsive and helpful whenever I had a question and setting up the logistics for the project. They really do handle everything, so it was a seamless operation from start to finish. Very happy with the result and was even happier to work with the good people at Central Air who provide great service, knowledge, experience and professionalism. Job very well done. Thank you to Elvys and the crew at Central Air!
Kevin R. and the Central Air team provide timely, super cordial and excellent service!
We couldn’t be happier with our new heating and AC system. From start to finish, the entire experience was professional, organized, and extremely well executed. Ian did an awesome job leading the delivery/installation team. Everyone was professional, courteous, and incredibly clean and organized throughout the entire process. They took great care of our home, and the quality and attention to detail really showed. Brian was also fantastic to work with throughout the sales and planning process. He was thoughtful, thorough, and took the time to make sure everything was done correctly from the beginning. The system was digitally measured and mapped in advance, and it was impressive to see the final installation align so precisely with those original measurements and plans. Overall, this was a first-class experience from the initial planning through the final installation. Great communication, great workmanship, and a team that clearly takes pride in what they do. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering a new heating and cooling system.
