Century 21 McLennan & Co is a long-established Methuen brokerage — the BBB puts it at 41 years in business with a start date of October 1984, ten employees, and Janet McLennan as president, and grades it A+ although it is not BBB accredited. The company describes itself as family-owned across three generations, working Methuen, Andover, North Andover, Haverhill and Lawrence plus Salem and Windham in New Hampshire under the Century 21 franchise. The one thing to settle before hiring them: the Massachusetts real estate broker license number the company publishes on its own site, and that the BBB also lists — #3225 — comes back from the state registry as expired. That is the same number in all three places, so it is not a mismatch of records; it is a lapsed registration. Ask the brokerage directly for its current active license, and check the individual agent's license too. There is very little customer voice to weigh against that. Google shows 4.8 stars from 26 ratings but only a single review body can be read, and it comes from someone describing a commercial property transaction they worked on with one of the agents and looking forward to future transactions together — the voice of a counterparty in a deal rather than a homeowner who hired them. The brokerage's own site also lists a New Hampshire registration, 051553, which has not been checked against that state's registry. For a Merrimack Valley seller, the appeal here is longevity and a franchise brand behind a small family office. Before signing a listing agreement, get the current Massachusetts broker license in writing and confirm it yourself with the Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Jessica Finocchiaro on a commercial property transaction. From start to finish, Jessica demonstrated the kind of professionalism, responsiveness, and integrity that made the entire process remarkably smooth and collaborative. Jessica was a true professional—courteous, solution-oriented, and respectful of timelines. I would gladly welcome the opportunity to work with her again on future transactions.
