A 176-year-old house is the kind of job Champlain Valley Home Inspection gets called for. A recent Google customer said Adam did a very thorough job on that house and that his report was fast and clear. The company's website says its inspection is "a complete examination from the foundation to the roof and all of the systems of a home." On Google it holds a 5-star rating from 21 ratings. A 2024 customer buying a first home said Adam let them follow along during the inspection and explained what he was testing and how to maintain things in the house. A 2023 customer said Adam inspected an 11-bedroom, 10-bath house built in the 19th century and provided a detailed report with photos of the areas that needed attention. A 2023 customer who had used him before said Adam saved them from one bad property and that they were about to book him for a second inspection. A local Realtor writing in 2023 described his reports as easily understandable. On Reddit's r/vermont, a 2022 commenter wrote that they used Adam Thomas for their 1880 home and that he walked them through everything. Its Vermont property inspector licence, 143.0134054, is active under Adam Thomas.
“We used Adam Thomas from Champlain Valley Home Inspection for our 1880 home. He was phenomenal, walked me through everything and really thorough.”
I'm grateful Adam was recommended to us. He did a very through job on a 176 year old house and left no stone unturned! His report was fast and clear. I'm impressed at the details covered.
Adam gave us a very thorough and informative report.
Adam was thorough, personable, and helpful answering questions during our inspection! The report is comprehensive and informative.
Adam was super knowledgeable and let us follow him around (encouraged it even) throughout our inspection. I feel much more comfortable about my home purchase thanks to Adam’s findings and notes. Thank you!!
Adam is the BEST. He was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. From the outset, he was timely, kind, and great about scheduling. My husband and I are purchasing our first home together and knew nothing about where to find the main water shutoff, how to test breakers, etc. Adam kindly let me follow him around/hover during the inspection, and he explained everything. What he was testing, how to service or maintain things in our future home, etc. He tested stuff I didn't know even existed. I am beyond grateful to have found Adam and feel so much more comfortable/confident in my home purchase now!
