Two failed terra-cotta liners, found during a cleaning: a recent customer said Travis cleaned their wood stove and oil burner chimneys, told them both needed relining, and then relined both. Travis cleaned both our wood stove and oil burner chimneys, and informed us that they needed to be relined as the terra-cotta liners had failed. I had no doubt about this given the quantity of liner material in the clean outs as well as the sound of the liners rattling while being cleaned. Travis relined both chimneys for us. He ran into issues due to the non-standard construction of the chimneys. He was able to work through the issues. He also caulked the flashing, which was in rough shape and causing the roof around the chimney to leak. Travis was always responsive and showed up on time. We really appreciated his professionalism and his desire to make sure the job was done right. I would absolutely hire him again.
