Bangor Chimney does chimney work from cleanings to full rebuilds. A customer describes a complete rebuild of their chimney by Keith and his team, with fair pricing and good communication. Keith also handled a new wood stove install for one household, finding the stove and upgrading the existing stove pipe to meet regulations. A customer says Keith cleaned the chimney and gave recommendations on making it more fire safe and efficient. A customer says everyone on the crew explained what they were doing, with pictures, and that the price was fair for the work. A customer says the workers left the house spotless where they worked. A customer who hired Bangor Chimney for a chimney cleaning says Alex ran a metal tool to remove creosote from the liner for more than an hour, and that the liner is now cracked with shifted tiles, so they need a stainless steel liner. They also say Jack Pedro bent the stack pipe to their wood stove, and that flames came out of the gap and smoke came into the room when they lit a fire. That customer received quotes from Keith Morin of $4,050 for repointing and $3,388.57 for relining, and says a mason quoted $1,940 to fix the chimney's exterior.
Absolutely fantastic experience with Bangor Chimney. Everyone on the crew was professional and took the time to explain what they were doing (with pictures). The price was fair for all the work they did. I would highly recommend this company!
Keith did an exceptional job on all aspects of our new wood stove install. He found us the perfect stove for our needs and upgraded the existing stove pipe, etc. to meet regs. Peace of mind. All in all we're very pleased with the whole experience. 👍🔥
Very pleased with the work completed by Keith and his team. Great communication, fair pricing, and superb work. A complete rebuild of our chimney. Extremely happy with the outcome. Highly recommend.
WARNING: PLEASE READ MY REVIEW BEFORE CONSIDERING HIRING BANGOR CHIMNEY TO DO ANY TYPE OF WORK FOR YOU. On June 29, 2026, Jack Pedro and Alex came to my home to clean my chimney. I hired a trusted chimney cleaner to inspect and evaluate my chimney flue after these inexperienced and incapable people damaged my chimney flue. Alex used a metal tool to remove creosote from my chimney liner, he ran the loud tool in excess of an hour. The outcome….my chimney liner is now cracked and the tiles have shifted, making it so that I now need a stainless steel chimney liner. The gentleman that performed the chimney inspection, after Bangor Chimney’s incompetent workers, left my home with sooty clothes because he cleaned up after these guys, so unprofessional and not thorough. I had a mason give me a quote to fix the exterior of my chimney, his quote was $1,940, Bangor Chimney quote is $4,050. Jack Pedro said stainless steel chimney liners are $20 - $50 per foot. This is another false statement, chimney liners come in different lengths and sizes and are priced as an entire kit, not by the foot. This is the quote I received from Keith Morin of Bangor Chimney: Repointing $4,050.00 Chimney Relining $3,388.57 Custom Outside Mount $827.63 Quite elevated quotes. This whole ordeal with Bangor Chimney has been financially and mentally stressful, they do not deserve to call themselves a business. The true facts here between myself and Bangor Chimney are that they do not care about the safety and well being of their customers. They want to overcharge you to increase the amount in their bank account and drain yours. Not once did anyone at Bangor Chimney suggest the fact that my furnace would require a separate ventilation system once a new chimney liner is installed, because they caused severe damage to my chimney liner. Jack Pedro also bent the stack pipe to my wood stove and attempted to modify it by putting a screw in it. I lit a fire and there were flames coming out of the gap Jack left in the stack pipe, and smoke came into the room. My chimney has not deteriorated anymore since I got the first quote from a licensed mason. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and inexperienced the staff at Bangor Chimney are. Please take your business elsewhere, for your own safety.
Keith is very attention to detail and takes enormous pride in his craftsmanship. It was a pleasure doing business with him.
