Post-job leak — 2024 reviewer says no help after a flood
A water heater died two days before Thanksgiving in 2023 and Chevron came out the same day — at a price the customer said beat five other companies they had called. Emergency turnaround at a price people keep describing as fair is the thread running through this Burlington plumbing and heating company's record.
Its Massachusetts plumber licence, number 16767-PL-M and held by Kurt Chisholm, checks out as active against the state registry, and the Better Business Bureau grades the company A+. Google shows 5.0 from 190 ratings, and 153 written accounts run from 2022 to now.
The work is bread-and-butter and then some. A July 2026 customer had a boiler, indirect water heater, piping, valves, pumps and a relay replaced in an unusually tight space. A March 2026 water heater swap included an expansion tank and a mixing valve that ended the household's temperature swings. In July 2025 a crew installed an automatic shutoff valve and, noticing the house pressure was too high, added a pressure-reducing valve. Beyond plumbing there is heating: a mini-split installed in an April 2025 account, a bathroom renovation brought up to code alongside another contractor in March 2025, and three commercial properties kept running for one reviewer writing in August 2024.
Speed is the recurring compliment. A December 2025 customer's shower broke overnight and the crew was there the next morning. In August 2024 another described them staying late into the night on an emergency and phoning afterwards to say a bathroom should be locked so the children stayed safe. Technicians get named — Kurt, Mike, Jared, Dave, Rory and Alex all appear by name in customers' own accounts.
Two accounts run hard the other way and deserve reading. In October 2023 a customer wrote that the company took most of their money, left fixtures uninstalled and the heating not working, then emailed to terminate the contract and stopped answering calls, emails and texts. In January 2024 another wrote of a massive leak after the job and said the company did not own up or help. Nothing on file says how either ended.
For a water heater, a boiler, a burst pipe or a same-week emergency, this is a strong call, and the licence is one you can check yourself in minutes. On a larger multi-visit job, get the full scope, the payment schedule and the completion terms in writing before any deposit changes hands.

Chevron cleared a tub/shower drain that had been slow for years and over the last few months had become nearly stopped.
