Chimney Pros has been sweeping flues on the South Coast since 1997 — first as Chimney Sweep Professionals under John and Lisa Podrecca, and now, the company says, under their son Chris Podrecca and his partner Brian Moniz. It puts its own tenure at 29 years. From Mattapoisett it publishes the exact patch it covers: Mattapoisett, Marion, Rochester, Fairhaven, Acushnet, Wareham, New Bedford, Dartmouth, Westport, Middleborough, Lakeville and Freetown, plus Falmouth, Mashpee and Bourne over the bridge. The work is full-system sweeping and inspection, stainless steel flue lining, chimney repairs, and wood, gas and pellet appliance installation — a specialist's list, not a general contractor's. In January, a Marion neighbor answering a Nextdoor request for a local chimney sweep said they had used the company and found them professional and polite, linking straight to the site. A second neighbor in the same conversation named it simply as "Chimney Pros from Mattapoisett". On credentials, take the site at its word and no further. It publishes a Massachusetts construction supervisor specialty licence number and a home improvement contractor registration number; neither has been checked against the state registry here, and Massachusetts runs a public HIC lookup that settles it in about two minutes.
