One August 2026 Google reviewer has used Clear Water Filtration in three homes since 1993, and says each system was custom-designed for that home's well-water problems, with the piping neat, clean and well organized. The Waitsfield, Vermont company installs and services home water treatment: its website lists water softening, reverse osmosis, UV systems, filtration, PFAS and PFOA treatment and water testing, and says it has been in business 46 years. It holds 4.9 stars from 101 Google ratings and an A+ BBB grade. In May 2026, a customer whose water pressure had dropped to a trickle said the company installed a water softener and cleaned out pipes that had filled with iron. A June 2026 reviewer said Culligan quoted $8,400 for a system and Clear Water came in at less than half that; the installers ran separate piping so the outdoor hose skips the filtration. In August 2026, a customer had the softener and the water storage pressure tank replaced. A February 2026 reviewer with a sulphur smell since their drilled well went in said Dan did a site visit and explained the fix, and an update says Brandon installed the filter, the smell was gone and he left no debris behind. In a December 2025 review, a couple new to Vermont described Dan surveying the house and Spencer and Brendan, the plumbers, doing a neat plumbing job on a Kinetico dechlorinator, softener and reverse osmosis system, leaving the area cleaner than they found it. Another December 2025 reviewer said a softener, UV light and reverse osmosis filter installed in 2003 were still running, for well water with iron, arsenic and gross alphas, and called the cost not inexpensive. An August 2026 reviewer said Jeremy told them what he would do, how long the water would be off and how long the job would take, and was right on all three; in July 2026 a reviewer said Jocelyn explained how to make a slight sulfur smell go away. In an October 2025 four-star review, a customer who liked the technicians said the company does not check if the customer will be home; it says when it is coming and expects access to the house.

They were very clear on instructions and timing. The unit is very well placed under sink and allows storage of all my other under sink. The plan to service is in place. Excellent communiction.

Always terrific! I’ve used Clear Water Filtration in three homes since 1993, and I wouldn’t call anyone else. Their pricing is always fair, and their routine maintenance is excellent. Each system was custom-designed for the specific well-water issues in that home and performed exactly as expected—producing beautifully clear, great-tasting water that feels wonderful and eliminating all unpleasant odors. The installations were beautifully done, with all the piping exceptionally neat, clean, and well organized. I also appreciate having clean water without added treatment chemicals, other than salt for the water softener. It’s great for everyday use and helps protect household plumbing, fixtures, and appliances from mineral buildup and corrosion. I recommend Clear Water Filtration without reservation!
