In a July 2025 Google review, a customer in Woodstock wrote that their water stopped on a Saturday night and Ron drove an hour and a half with his son to reach the house. They arrived at 11 p.m. and worked until after 1 a.m., but the old pump was stuck in the well, so they came back Sunday morning with another technician and replaced the 33-year-old pump with a new one. Vermont Well & Pump is a Hinesburg well and pump company. Its website says owners Rob and Anne Frost started it in 1996, after Rob worked 18 years in a family well business in East Dorset, and that it offers 24/7 emergency service. Its BBB profile lists pump installation and repair, drilling and geothermal systems. In July 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that the company got them back up and running within 12 hours when their well pump went out. A June 2026 reviewer who thought the pump had died wrote that Paul and Jacob came within a day and found the pressure switch and pressure gauge were not working, at a cost that "didn't cost an arm and a leg." In August 2026 a customer who called after regular business hours got a call back from one of the workers in under 10 minutes; on the visit a worker bungeed up a big apple tree branch so the truck would not damage it. A September 2026 reviewer described a hiccup with a well the company drilled for them, with high iron levels that took time to sort out, and wrote that the company stood by its work and made it right in the end. In December 2025 a customer whose plumber had traced a water outage to the well pump wrote that the company was out within a day and fixed it. A September 2025 reviewer thanked the company for coming on a Sunday to replace their pump. In October 2024 a customer called Rob, who had replaced the pump in their well years earlier; he stopped by after his last job of the day and replaced a faulty pressure switch within a half hour. A July 2024 reviewer credited Mike and Rob with diagnosing a failed well pump on a Friday afternoon and having one on the truck. In May 2024 a crew had to go back to the shop for new piping and still got the water back on in one day, and in August 2023 a reviewer wrote that the crew added an external check valve on their pump. In a 2021 Google review, a customer whose well Rob Frost and his crew drilled in 1997, along with the pressure tank, wrote that Rob came within hours on a Sunday when the water stopped and diagnosed a burned-out pump and pressure tank, at a cost they called quite reasonable. On Google it holds 4.8 stars from 40 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.
“I looked up the company I used: Vermont Well and Pump. Good people if you need work.”
A high quality and responsible company. We had a little hiccup with the well they drilled for us, trying to sort out high iron levels. It took some time to sort out, but they truly stood by their work and made it right in the end. Very kind, easy to work with, considerate of working around our funny schedule (as a preschool), and overall a good company to work with. I highly recommend them.
This company, it's absolutely incredible and professional and do impeccable work. On monday, I called them and this was have you know, after their regular business hours, and after I got off the phone with the woman I spoke to, not even 10 minutes later, one of their workers called me. And scheduled to come out to my house today on Tuesday. They came out, I had to move some stuff in my yard. So that they could get their truck in and they were super patient with me, and offered to help me, and they had to go around my apple. Tree, so one of their workers was nice enough to help me, bungee cored it up one of the big apple tree branches,So they wouldn't damage it. I mean, We had a good conversation. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had with having somebody who I hire do a job for me. They found the problem quick, they got ready to work. They didn't slack off. They didn't lolligag around, they did their job, and did it professionally. And also, they educated me about how this part worked with the well, And how This does that and they just were very informed. So not only was I watching them do their job, but they were also educating me at the same time. And informing me of everything. So I understood what they were doing through the whole process. All I can say is, if you're looking for a company to drill a well, or if you're looking for a company to have them repair your well, I highly highly recommend them,I don't even feel like a 5 star rating is enough. This company based on my experience today.Deserves 10 stars thank you again vermont well and pumps for the awesome job.

A top notch business with knowledgeable, kind, professional people who get right on it when things go awry with water systems. They respond quickly and they value customer service with integrity and respect. They go the extra mile to keep systems working as they should and best of all, they have years of knowledge to troubleshoot issues and get things fixed quickly. I’m incredibly impressed and grateful we have businesses like this still in operation who answer phone calls with live humans and are compassionate when their attention is needed. Thank you Vermont Well and Pump!
