A homeowner called Cocuzzo Enterprises for an estimate in 2023 after another mason had brushed off their concerns. Mike Cocuzzo listened, told them which areas they should in fact have been worried about, and when a further problem turned up he was back the next day to assess it and fold it into the estimate. Cocuzzo Enterprises is a family-operated masonry, hardscape and concrete contractor at 27 Franklin St in Derry, New Hampshire, working mainly in and around the town. The company says it has been in business since 2019, and Michael Cocuzzo leads estimates and runs projects himself; its Thumbtack profile lists 14 employees. Most of the Google reviews describe the same handful of jobs: granite steps, walkways, patios and retaining walls. A 2025 customer had granite steps, a patio and a walkway installed and said the team delivered on time and exactly as quoted. Another 2025 customer had four sets of crumbling stairs cut out and replaced with custom-framed new ones, and had the existing railings refurbished to fit them instead of replaced, which saved money. A 2024 customer who had a retaining wall and front patio built gave four stars and said that when minor issues came up during the build, the team handled them quickly and transparently. The work is not all stone. A 2026 customer had an early spring clean-up done to get a house ready to sell, and described a crew that was quick to respond, polite and cleaned up after itself. A 2024 reviewer called the team knowledgeable in both hardscaping and landscaping design and build, and another that year hired Mike for a front walkway and, separately, a window install. Older Thumbtack reviews cover indoor work: in 2020 a customer whose partially redone tile shower had been leaking into the basement for six months had it rebuilt, another had a marble kitchen backsplash installed and cracked marble tiles sealed, and a third had a badly broken garage floor cut out and repoured. The company's site and Thumbtack profile list trade certifications: ICPI certified paver installer, NCMA certified thin stone veneer installer, certified segmental and retaining wall installer, hoisting engineer and Green Snow Pro. Those are the company's and the directory's own statements rather than state licences, and New Hampshire does not register masons or general contractors, so ask to see the certificate that covers your job. The Thumbtack rating splits 89 percent five-star and 11 percent three-star across 18 ratings. For granite steps, a walkway, a patio or a retaining wall around Derry, customers describe a crew that turns up, talks through the job and cleans up behind itself. Get the quote in writing, as a 2025 customer said their project came in exactly as quoted, and settle the schedule up front if the work has to be done before a sale or a season change.

Had a professional interaction with business
Mike and crew were amazing. Quick to respond. Polite. Cleaned up after themselves. They did an early spring clean up to get my home ready to sell. They will forever do my landscaping. Highly recommended.
Reliable! Have done an amazing job going above and beyond! during this difficult winter!
We couldn’t be happier with the professionalism, crew work ethic, politeness and expert masonry installation of our granite steps patio walkway. Michael Cocuzzo’s team delivered our project on time, with constant open communications and exactly as quoted. Best endorsement we could make is asking his company to do another similar project for our home in the coming months. Project turned out amazing!
Had a wonderful experience with Cocuzzo. We hired them to take out 4 large sets of crumbling stairs and replace them with custom framed new ones. They also worked with us to refurbish our existing railings to fit the new stairs and make them look new again which saved us alot of money. They were great in communicating to me when the crews would be on site, their employees were pleasant, very hard working and our condo community is very pleased with the results. With so much rain this spring they somehow managed to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time which was important to us. I highly recommend them and I would use them again in the future if needed as they seem to truly care about customer satisfaction.
