Hoyt Masonry LLC

Hoyt Masonry LLC is a New Hampshire-based masonry company run by Sean Hoyt, working out of Pelham and serving the surrounding area. The company states it was established in 1999 and has 27 years in business, and describes itself as a full-service residential masonry outfit specializing in fireplaces, chimneys and liners, veneers, walls, patios, walkways and steps. Sean holds a registry-verified Massachusetts home improvement contractor license and states he is a CSIA-certified chimney liner installer. Across well over a hundred reviews spanning 2015 to today, homeowners consistently describe chimney rebuilds, liner replacements, wood stove and insert installations, and full fireplace builds finished with clear communication and reasonable, transparent pricing. Several reviewers mention Sean bringing in stone samples, walking them through code issues found mid-project, and responding quickly to weekend or emergency chimney problems. Masonry step, walkway and patio repairs come up almost as often, with reviewers praising clean, efficient work and fair pricing even on smaller jobs. Two reviews stand out from the otherwise strong record. In a November 2025 review, a homeowner said the work removing a decommissioned chimney was done well and on schedule but felt the charge was extremely high with no breakdown given. In a 2023 review, a homeowner reported that work covered by a stated 25-year warranty cracked and fell apart within six months; Sean attributed it to the flue, which the homeowner says had been separately inspected and found fine. It's worth asking for an itemized quote up front and getting clarity on what a warranty covers before work begins. Hoyt Masonry is a strong choice for chimney and fireplace work — rebuilds, liners, wood stove installs, and inspections — as well as masonry steps, walkways and patios. Given the isolated billing and warranty disputes, homeowners may want to get pricing and warranty terms in writing before the job starts.
