Highlights

  • Custom built-ins and cabinetryreviewers cite precise, detailed craftsmanship
  • Client communicationconsistently praised for staying responsive throughout
  • Direct owner involvementFrank handles every job personally, no subcontractors
  • New businessoperating since 2023 with only five reviews so far

Cohasset Woodworks is a one-person shop that Frank started in 2023, after stepping away from a career in accounting to turn a lifelong woodworking hobby into full-time work. He works out of Cohasset, MA building custom cabinetry, furniture, and built-ins, and takes every job himself rather than farming work out to subcontractors. The reviews the shop has collected so far all point to the same thing: precision and communication. One recent client called him "a talented perfectionist" who worked through every step of the project, offered suggestions along the way, and made sure everything was done exactly right before calling it finished. That pattern — a craftsman who stays hands-on and keeps the customer in the loop — shows up across the shop's small but unanimous string of five-star reviews. There isn't much of a track record to weigh yet: five reviews total, all five stars, gathered since the business opened in 2023, and the shop is now a listed member of the Cohasset Chamber of Commerce. That's a clean start, but it's a short one, so it's worth asking for photos of recent work or a client reference before committing to a bigger project. Cohasset Woodworks looks like the right call for someone who wants one craftsman — not a crew — handling something specific: built-ins, custom cabinetry, or trim work, and who's comfortable going with a newer shop that, so far, has only good things said about it.

Working with Frank from start to finish was fantastic. Communication was constant, he is a talented perfectionist. Worked with us every step of the way to ensure we were happy with the work and offered suggestions and options. Frank always made sure everything was done precisely. Could not recommend working with Frank and his team enough!

We contacted Frank with the goal of restoring character to our mid-1700s home, which had lost some of its personality through numerous renovations. He recently completed office built-ins as well as wainscoting in our office, living room, and dining room, and we could not be happier with the results. Frank’s work speaks for itself because he is exceptionally talented and overlooks no detail. Beyond his craftsmanship, he is highly communicative and demonstrated a level of professionalism far exceeding what we’ve experienced with other projects in our home. He was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the design and decision-making process. When it came time to hire painters and an electrician, Frank willingly sourced and coordinated both for us, making our lives easier. Despite working across multiple large spaces, Frank made every effort to minimize disruption in our home and left a clean, orderly job site at the end of each day. He was meticulous in ensuring every detail was just right, even making multiple return visits to address small details and finishing touches after the work was complete. It was an absolute pleasure working with Frank, and we look forward to partnering with him on future projects.

Frank did an incredible job transforming our open space with custom shelves and a built-in door. From start to finish, he was responsive, professional, and right on schedule. He listened to exactly what we needed and delivered beautiful, high-quality work that totally elevated the room. We’re so happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for custom carpentry done right.

I had a custom wood project from Cohasset Woodworks and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The craftsmanship is excellent — you can tell a lot of care went into every detail. What really stood out was how easy it was to work with Frank throughout the process. He listened carefully to what I wanted, kept me updated along the way, and made sure I was happy with every decision. It’s exactly what I was hoping for. I’d definitely recommend Cohasset Woodworks to anyone looking for quality custom woodwork.
