Collins Tree Service Inc

Collins Tree Service customers describe tree removal with attention to the ground and cleanup afterward. In an August 2026 Google review, a homeowner says Jeff and Spencer used mats to protect the lawn while cutting a large maple and finished before noon. A July customer describes a different job: removing a tree that had fallen onto the corner of a roof. That reviewer says Jeff explained the process before work began and that Chris and Isiah left the work area clear of debris. The Hooksett company says it has operated since 1971 and is family-owned, with Bill Collins as president. Its website describes tree and shrub pruning, tree removal, stump grinding, fertilization, lawn care, and insect and disease control. Google lists a 4.9-star average from 290 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade. Pruning appears in several recent customer accounts. A June 2026 reviewer describes removal of dead trees and extensive pruning around ornamental trees, fruit trees, hardwoods and shrubs, followed by cleanup that included blowing off the driveway. In May, another customer describes hedge pruning and shaping, tree removal and stump grinding; the reviewer says Dunny, Bobcat and Willy were helpful and informative while working. An April customer says Mike and Todd took time to explain aspects of pruning. A separate April reviewer reports shrub pruning completed on schedule and as contracted, with everything cleaned up. Customers also describe the estimate and price. One July 2026 reviewer praises timely estimating, communication and reasonable pricing. Another says Collins’s bid was $200 below the next closest and $850 below the highest, and describes a certified arborist doing the work with a three-person crew. That customer also praises the cleanup. These are individual customers’ price comparisons. A longer account published in January 2025 describes tree removal and shrub trimming performed in spring 2024. The customer says Griff assessed the lot, answered questions and developed a plan, and that two crews cleaned the areas where trees were removed. The reviewer particularly appreciated Mike’s pruning of bushes to let light reach their interiors. There is also a communication complaint. An August 2023 Google reviewer says the company arrived early for an appointment but never provided the expected quote, despite the customer calling the office to ask about it.
