Quality of work is mediocre. And I'm finding they don't eagerly stand behind their work. Had them redo a couple of bathrooms a few years ago. I liked them initially so recommended them to a neighbor needing to do a full house repair. I now regret that recommendation. In the end, many things that were done half-assed and have now started to fail (e.g. Painters painted inside tracks of window so it doesn't slide well. All toilet paper and towel racks are loose. Caulking missing from key parts of the new tub/floor interface) Certainly each of those could be poor products or wear/tear. Their plumber did a lot of things not with industry standards, but the clearest example of Cornerstone coming up short just came up. Tub faucet was clogging up from hard water mineral buildup. So I removed the faucet to clean it. I go to put it back on, and I can't get it to seal - water keeps pouring out of the connection point back onto the wall. Found that the stub out pipe is only 7/8". The specs for the tub faucet calls for the stub out to extend 1 1/4 - 1 5/8" from the tile. That's a significant shortcoming!! I do recall they had originally said the faucet was tricky to get to seal, but they somehow did it. I don't know their trick to get it set, but now I know why it was difficult to seal. Their plumber clearly didn't build to the specs. Heck, when I look around, it seems that it is pretty standard that a slip fit stub out should never only be 7/8" long. I reached out to Cornerstone for ideas. No alarm at such a mistake. No suggested solutions to try. All I'm offered is to be given the number of their plumber - presumably so I can hire him. Mistakes happen. And yes, I'm beyond the 1 year warranty of their work...but given the facts, I would have expected them to at least want to check it out. They did not. I do not recommend Cornerstone. Updated after their Response: It's not that hard to put a faucet on a properly sized slip fit pipe. But no, I don't have the skills to make it fit when the pipe is too short to reach the seal. Sorry about that. I should note that we did not have them come out to fix leaking shower plumbing, nor did they open up a wall to fix anything like that. Heck, the tub doesn't even have a door. And the neighbor did not sell. So I think they're getting us confused with another customer. I did not reach out with the little things over the last few years, because some of the issues very well may be wear and tear, some may be poor products, and I don't like to nitpick. I should have nitpicked. Yes it is quite a while after the build. No I don't expect them to do more work for free to fix things that I've worn out. But since it is an unarguable fact that the pipe is supposed to be 1/3" longer than the plumber made it - and that's not something that wear and tear would effect - I figured I should finally reach out. The response did not contain any indication that they were considering what may have gone wrong. Gave me no solutions or suggestions other than to give me a plumbers phone number. I took that to mean I was on my own to work it out with said plumber. I do need to amend my earlier statement (and have done so) that things were not to code. The things we've encountered are not so much a code thing, but more of a industry standard thing (e.g. toilet water supply lines usually are placed 6 - 12" above the finished floor. He put ours at just over 3", thus interfering with the baseboard). Upon reflection, I did just increase my review to 2 stars, because the guy who oversaw the project, Gerald, was really quite pleasant, and tried to overcome sloppy subs (e.g. decided to do the rest of the painting after the painters painted inside the window's tracks). I hadn't posted a review earlier, because I couldn't decide which way to go, and I didn't want to cause any repercussions for our friends. My list of issues had just built up as I become aware of them, but not worth raising a stink over. Now, in the context of this cut-and-dry issue, it seemed relevant to share them as part of the whole package we got.

Cornerstone Construction complete a remodel of our 300 sqft. Workshop. The company was extremely responsive and gave a very competitive quote. Our project manager Joe kept a constant line of communication with us, and was often present at the job site. All of the sub contractors involved completed their work on time and in a professional manner. I will contact cornerstone for all future work to be completed at my home.

Very satisfied with our interaction with Joe and Cornerstone’s ability to install new hardwood floors and complete several finished wood jobs around the house for us. Painless experience.

Cornerstone did an amazing job refinishing our basement after a flood that destroyed our drywall and insulation. Over the course of several workdays, they stripped out everything, added new support beams where the original builders had cut some corners, re-insulated, re-drywalled, sanded, painted, and installed two new doors. They were courteous, professional, and did great work. I will absolutely rely on them for future house work.
