Cornerstone Foundation Crack Repair is a Fitchburg, Massachusetts masonry and foundation-repair company that describes itself as a new business built around free estimates and hands-on foundation, basement, and stone-masonry work; the crew is run by a technician customers repeatedly name as Ed or Edward. Homeowners consistently praise the same kind of job: repointing century-old fieldstone and brick foundations, patching lost mortar, and stopping active basement water intrusion after a crack repair. One customer described a basement wall that had lost its mortar over 95 years being repaired, along with holes around the entryway steps, in about two days. Another had a crack fixed that immediately stopped water from entering. Reviewers on Google, Angi, and HomeAdvisor are unanimous — every review on file is five stars, with reasonable pricing, same-day responses, and clear communication called out repeatedly. The company's Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license, #219077, is verified active in the state registry under the holder Cornerstone Foundation Repair LLC. Before booking, it's worth knowing this is a young company: its public reviews only go back to early 2026, so there isn't yet a long track record to weigh. The business's own site also states it serves Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, a wide footprint for a business that calls itself new — worth confirming they cover your specific town. For a homeowner near Fitchburg dealing with a cracking or settling foundation, an old stone basement wall losing its mortar, or water finding its way in through a foundation crack, the reviews and licensing here point to a legitimate, well-regarded specialist — just one with a short public history so far.
Cornerstone did wonderful work repairing a wall of my basement that had begun to lose the mortar after over 95 years. They also prepared the walls on the outside and around entryway steps where there were significant holes and possible rodent in-roads. I'm so very happy with the work that Cornerstone did, and all in 2 half days. Thank you, Edward. I much appreciate your help securing my basement and your extra care to help me with the loose steps. That was above and beyond. Keep doing lovely work to save basements all over Massachusetts.
I was skeptical at first but, after the crack was fixed, the water stopped. I'm pretty impressed. My neighbor had the same issue, i recommended them to cornerstone.
